How to Hatch an Unclassified Relic (Spearmint Flavour)

The following guide to create Unclassified Relics (trelics) comes from Node in the Canonn Discord.

Thargoid Imprint Site Overdrives: A Guide
——-
So you wanna play with fire? See these new Green Thargoid/Guardian Relics? Well, first let me tell you a bit of history: [Err: Pointless Life Story Not Found]
But enough about me, to create an “Unclassified Relic” or “T-Relic/Trelic”, you will need:
– 1-3 Guardian Relics (sourced at any good Guardian Ruin, if you can’t source your own relics, carrier bought is fine)
– 1-2 Distinct Living Thargoid Items (This class of cargo contains Thargoid Sensors, Links and Probes, the easiest way to obtain the sensor is at the crashed Thargoid Interceptor on HIP 17403 4A, Links can be found on site at a TIS. These items are corrosive so bring proper protective equipment!)
– 1 Thargoid Imprint Site with 3-6
To make your batch of TRelics, first land at your chosen TIS and enter your Scarab SRV. Before leaving your ship, be sure to grab your Guardian Relics, and one Living Thargoid Item (or both, if you are only creating one TRelic). Once you’ve collected these, head inside your chosen TIS through any door (if you choose a TIS with 3-4 active Leviathans, some tunnels may be blocked.) If you are planning to make 3 TRelics, you can leave your Living Thargoid item at the door now if you wish to avoid corrosion.
Once in the central chamber, insert your Guardian Relics and/or Living Thargoid Cargo into the 3 scoop points on the floor. The Guardian Relics can go in place of any of the 3 Holographic Thargoid Living Cargos, while the Living Cargo can only be accepted at its own hologram. Once all 3 slots are full, put 4 pips to shields and position yourself to grab your new TRelics fast, and then scan the central machine.
If successful, the Machine will explode with light and start burning your SRV, don’t panic yet, you still need to wait a few seconds for the Grelics to get zapped with lightning and convert to Trelics. There is a visual change. Once converted, pick up your Trelics (and Thargoid Living Cargo if used) and leave the TIS quickly, if the pulses from the machine are throwing your SRV around docking with your ship clears the effect.
Alternatively, if you’re patient, you can just activate the Machine and leave the area, and return to pick up the Trelics after the damage sequence in the main chamber is over.
Enjoy your 1-3 new Trelics!
—–
Notes:
– Other guardian items cannot be converted and either won’t insert at all, or will be destroyed by the machine.
– Unlike any category of Thargoid cargos, the TRelic is not corrosive
– This procedure is currently repeatable in 4.X versions of the game only.
– TRelics are considered to be Thargoid Cargo by interceptors, and will trigger a warning from them, with combat following it up if not dropped.
– Two Engineers, Professor Palin and Ram Tah, are interested in the TRelic and will pay ~1M Credits for them. This cmdr recommends selling one to each, to opt in to further plot involving TRelics.

  1. That mass murderer the Wych better not have died. He has to face trial and go to jail for 1,000 years for his atrocities. Luckily, according to his own words, the cell regeneration treatment and bionic replacements should ensure he doesn't die in jail so he can suffer like he deserves.

  2. Without Salvation and the promise the Proteus Wave carried, Azimuth has now become expendable. And as a scapegoat is desperately needed, the superpowers may soon demand its liquidation or destruction.

  3. A pity about that commodore. While one speech is hardly the best measure of her ability as a commander, it does sound like she at least cared about her people. Unfortunately, she seems to have backed the exact wrong horse.

Salvation's log, on the other hand, strikes me more or less what I'd expect from the man: equal parts reflective, shrewd, and self-aggrandizing. One gets the feeling, once again, that his envy of the Thargoids springs less from his love for humanity and more his love for himself. His ego seems to have blinded him to the fact that – for as old as he was – the Thargoids have still be playing this game far longer than he had.

  5. The last words of Salvation? I hardly think so. A narcissist of that level would never put himself in harm's way. He's skittered off like a cockroach into the shadows again, just like he did last time.

  6. As for the "millions" of humans killed by Thargoids, I'd like to see some more accurate numbers, as well as numbers of Thargoids killed by humans.
Given that we've twice tried to kill off their entire species, one can hardly be surprised by their anger.

  7. Are thargoid motherships coming? This kind of humiliation towards thargoid should bring about retaliation.
Galaxy wide deactivation of thargoid (with guardian tech no less) ships should be seen as challenge against all thargoid.

  8. Question, are we the aggressive alien species in this issue? Is this Fdevs attempt to get the story narrative back on track? In the 80's the Thargoids we're never hostile unless you attacked them, just wondering if we're the bad guys?

  9. What I'm more pissed about is the wave knocking out guardian tech. As someone who uses many guardian tech and was hoping for more guardian inspired hybrid weapons. The devs throwing away the guardians sounds and looks like a bad move

  10. Salvation better be gone because if it turns out he is in charge of the new thargoids I am done with this game lol. Honestly I was hoping for a bit more active gameplay from the update like ground thar combat. Looks like just some new weapons to grind though.

  11. Just want to say there was a whole initiative of real players trying to tell you all that you were making a mistake. Instead, the players decided to latch onto the narrative Fdev wanted for you, instead of making your voices heard. If you supported salvation, you made a mistake, we told you so.

  12. I was docked on Bright Sentinel when this all went down (being how it was early in the morning my time) when I logged back in I was in space around 20km from the wreckage of Bright sentinel. There were several canisters floating close to the wreck, I scooped up 2 canisters of invasion plans and a black box canister, even got a 500 credit fine for loitering too close to a dead landing pad while scooping. After that I got nervous and legged it out of the system, didn't see any scan logs at that time though.

  13. hmm i am completely out of this story from start. Absolutely no interest to fight thargoids (too much grind for… nothing special). Ship interior, atmospheric planets + functioning trade system plus less grind and a FC jump set at 5000 Ly with NPC collecting tritium and NPC buying a my FC then I will be happy

  14. Let no one forget the Thargoids started this war. Ever since 2810 they've been attacking human ships unprovoked in the Pleiades and Coalsack nebulae. They fired the first shots then, and they fired the first shots this time as well, when they attacked Federal convoys in the Pleiades in 3303. They don't know anything but war and aggression, they attacked the Guardians without warning and they did the same to us.

  15. Elite is full of technological nonsense. People can live long with great technology, but combat ships still have weak windows instead of cameras… Like for example cars in Cyberpunk 2077.
