  1. For the Destro bonuses, I would change the 4 set to gaining 10% crit, mastery, or haste (I think we benefit most off of haste and crit) and 1) make it so that when your infernal disappears you get a 15 second window where you cast while moving, 2) it increases the duration of your current infernal by 15 seconds, or 3) Makes your next 3 chaos bolts instant cast with increased chance to proc a second infernal.

Don't know, just cooking up what I would personally like to see as someone mostly exclusively plays Destro

  2. @kalamazi – my theory regarding the tier dog is that this would be akin to the Felguard from GFg – unaffected by talent modifiers and works off of base damage, cannot be extended by tyrant since it is summoned after the cast completion of tyrant (?) – so no wicked maw – no carnivorous stalkers etc. However, the active dogs clause for 4p makes me believe that the dreadbite by casted/extended dogs would be with the talents whereas the tier dog would cast its base version.

  3. I agree @kalamazi, the Destro tier set is underwhelming. My suggestion has been:

    (2) Set Bonus: Your damaging spells have a chance to hit a Jackpot! that increases your Critical Strike by 15% for 10 seconds. Casting Summon Infernal always hits a Jackpot!

    (4) Set Bonus: Hitting a Jackpot! cause your next Chaos Bolt to be empowered and become a Shadowflame (same animation, but the colours are shadowflame) bolt at XX% increased damaged.

This focusses on our main spender spell. Just an idea. I always like the Shadowflame theme.

  4. This is all nice and all
But I am still waiting for them to give us a different node option in Diabolist to accommodate those of us who do not run either Demonic Circle OR Howl of Terror.
Been playing the Entire Season 1 with 9/10 Hero Talents because of it.

  5. The biggest problem with this set is how ugly it looks. Locks usually have the best designs, but they are 3/3 in losers this expansion (counting the arathi cloth set being bad, especially compared to how amazing the mail/plate arathi sets are).

  6. The Destro set should materially improve the power of the Mastery stat, which could be important for a lot of casual-ish players who will be running around with Cyrce's for a good chunk of the next season. I think the 4pc will be strong by the numbers even if it isn't impactful on our play patterns.

The Aff set sounds extremely underwhelming, particularly in single target fights. Out of all 3 specs, Aff benefits the least from haste. A good indicator here is from running ST sims with and without Time Warp, Aff gains the least overall DPS. 12% haste is not going to meaningfully change the play pattern either. If this set doesn't have strong Crit/Mastery distribution in secondaries, we may have to consider whether it's actually worth wearing in a pure ST fight. I think it's thematically salvageable if they remove the target cap on the UA spread. At least that could feel cool in M+

  7. I think the devs just have no idea what to do with warlock. Just a year ago they removed the third dog, gutted our core economy despite all the community feedback, just to revert it back a year later. Destruction just got an unnerfed version of chaos incarnate as a 4p after they gutted it. Affliction is whatever, it's unplayable in pve anyways and sets does not matter that much in pvp.

  8. The rng proc rate cannot be the same on these three. Demo is the only one who's 4 set isn't rng AND tyrant is 1min cd AND the set itself is waaaay better

And I suspect the other classes are similar. Which means they now have 50+ rng proc rates to tune. That's going to use up a huge chunk of available dev time this season

  9. Destro 4 piece has the potential to change the rotation a fair bit if playing around shard dumping when a jackpot happens and you have juiced out mastery is strong enough to offset slightly sub optimal resource usage. Particularly with infernal and crashing chaos, it seems like you'll want to pool shards and conflag charges to try and get as many chaos bolt casts into that 10 second jackpot window from infernal as possible.
