102 Year Old Lady's Abandoned Home in the USA ~ Power Still ON!

Exploring abandoned places is my hobby and finance it all out of my own pocket and the donations I get from the people who love watching the documentaries we make… A small donation would be greatly appreciated! ► https://www.patreon.com/brosofdecay

The abandoned house of the German Focht Family is a place that redefined our definition of what an abandoned home can be, it has been a decade since the last inhabitant Misses Ada passed away and she left all her belongings in doing so. Now 10 years later, everything still remains inside the house and the strangest of all is that the electricity still turns on. Together with her husband Wallace she started living here in the 1930s and over the course of six decades, they raised four beautiful children, got married, and lived a long life with countless memories. Unfortunately, her husband passed away in the 1990’s leaving her to fend for her own. She lived here in relatively good health until the year she turned 102, at this point, she was called to leave planet earth and her beloved house.

Today we will show you the remains of what once was their everything!

  1. You’re in Pennsylvania and that’s major German Immigration. Pennsylvania Dutch (Deutsch). It’s so sad the photos are left behind, her grandchildren should have them. Thank you for being so respectful.

  4. Great show walking in the very old home. I wonder who pays for the electricity? You said you did not know what a Centennial or Bi-Centennial was. Centennial in the United States is 100 years and Bi- Centennial is 50 years. Also SOS pads for pots and pans are very popular in the United States. Makes Pots and Pans spotless and shinny.

  5. "Welcome to America!"🇺🇸❤️🤟🏼🙏🏼
I absolutely loved the tour through this old farm house, and seeing the many still very valuable treasures. It's a shame her children and grandchildren haven't any interest in the life left behind provided by the family matriarch.
The Hoover vacuum cleaner; as an American I had no doubt of it still being in excellent working condition. Those exact ones can still be purchased today in our many thrift stores, secondhand shops, etcetera. As well, Hoover continues to repair and offer replacement parts for a fair price. "I did expect a bit of dust to seap from the Hoover vacuum bag…LOL🤣!"
This trip was a grand adventure down memory lane; thank you so much for sharing! "Y'all are wonderful!"❤️

  6. Hi Leslie. Thank you for a fantastic video. I used a singer sewing machine years ago to make dolls clothes. My father had the same model typewriter just a different colour. The chaie toilet is called a camode.

  7. Amazing time capsule! You guys are so lucky to have gone through there. So many wonderful things! The ceramic Christmas tree, Sears catalog, the photos, kitchen items, .. and I’m only halfway through the video. Wish they could have an auction before it gets discovered and totally trashed! I’m from PA in the general area I think this home is, and so wish I could walk through there! And yes, lots of PA Dutch in that area.

  9. This was her parents home then she and her hubby moved into the house. You can tell by age of the house. Farmers guide most homes had one- not all were farmers. They grew their own garden- nearly all homes- including Detroit –

  10. Power on is because in the USA you cannot insure a property at value without power on. So someone is paying taxes, electric and insurance on that house because even if they don't live there it matters to them
