  1. I absolutely adore how tranquil and soothing this series is to indulge in. The absence of constant cuts every few seconds and the omission of trendy music truly sets it apart, creating an almost cinematic experience. Wishing you all the success, and I sincerely hope you continue this series for as long as possible. Sending love from Germany!

  2. Hey Martin! Thumbs up for the new roof window! I see that now you are with cabin fever, but you finally got to the point that you can decor those spaces with sofa and things.
Why not increase your actual tiny windows size to improve your view, and relief your builder feelings.
These stone cabins still can be great bedrooms with a nice view. Just a thought of mine, thank you for your attention, peace ✌️ 🙏.

  3. (I make drapes and curtains for a living. )
couple of tips for the next time :
-leaving some ease around the rod is always a good idea, generally 3 times the diameter of your curtain rod. it will give the fabric room to pleat and bunch in a more natural way.
    – cotton always needs a bit of extra weight to drape nicely. some lead weights are good but a thicker hem also works fine and should give you a nice heavy fall. 4-5 inches folded over should do.

always enjoy this chanel so much. hope this helps !

  4. It is very remarkable to actually understand the strict methodology or system that is complex, and needs to be executed with care and exactness which is sometimes regarded as a drawback.  Storm-prone place must deliberately counter with strong structure to withstand the strain cause by nature.  Understandably flagstones are very common and not particularly a work of art-conscious. We can be swayed to be critical but rationale deems best most especially when security is concern.

By the way the back splash tiles are coordinating well with the stones. Getting acquainted with extra wood work being done coming from the observer.  The mosaic tiles are definitely something to consider as inspiration and reminder the finishing line is within reach.  Fog does not stay neither do the clouds. Thanks.

  5. Martijn – Such great progress on the renovation! I'm surprised the way you use your wood fireplace though. In the United States we would build a fire like you do, but then when there is a deep bed of coals, we would put large pieces of wood on them and then almost completely damp down the air supply, so they burn very slowly all night long. Can your stove do that, or do you not use it that way because you don't need the extra heat?

  7. Loved hearing your thoughts on the new structure, definitely take the time to design and thinking now about its expansive role.. It is good to have a 'third place" to spend your time with the things you like to do. Love the outdoor kitchen idea, beautiful spot to be social or just to enjoy in the summer!.. and wondering if it is also possible to have another spot to paint where you get a lot of natural light there as well .. maybe a loft or an annex to the workshop…

  9. Martjin I look forward to seeing your progress each week! As a retired pattern maker of 41 years seeing the care you took to make your curtains was awesome! As a mother loved that you called Mom to make them hang straight. Your videos bring me peace, I look forward to seeing them each week💙☮️🙏

  10. One aspect of Martijn's presentations that i enjoy and respect so much is the respect he shows to us his audience. If it needs a note or explanation, it is given. No needless chatter. The "drying rack" was a great surprise, to me at least. And when the Jimny returned, well, planning for the unexpected dealt by Mother nature who always has a few tricks up her sleeve 😅 Rich
