Ok there are many possible reasons for why he didn’t grab the diamonds inside the diamond.
1: The mod doesn’t allow you to do that.
2: So SB can make the video longer and actually make it to 100 days.
3: It was too easy and SB was just trying to have fun.
He’s not an idiot.

The leggings you need to get the full armor
You went and hunted down and grinded out a ton of stuff. When you just needed to go into the items lol.
Also don't throw op items away in a modpack that needed them.
Like an emerald block, a bookshelf, random blocks.
But seriously why wouldn't you use the op items? You need gold, don't use the axe that turns stuff into gold. Definitely inefficient.
It was diamond pickaxe shovel and axe enchanted on the ground and he made a regular shower instead 😂😂😂

Im just curios but the "100 days" is in Minecraft days? I mean obviously its not actual 100 days, so Im just wondering.
