  1. I first started watching this in middle school thinking that it was just a cool fight show with a funny green ghost. I saw the second season in high school and realized how amazing it was. And I saw the ending in my second year of college and am thankful I got to watch it when I did.

  2. Amazing video.

One thing i wish you pointed out was Reygan removing his shoes and socks before chasing after Mob. That is something in Japanese culture people do when they comit suicide. Reygan was sure he would die, that's why he did that.

  3. With the whole story about your wrestling ambitions I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. You stood on your own for years looking at something you wanted to do and were persistent for years. That's the hardest part IMO. Maybe your dad was right in this case and not in case of youtube. I think you can be proud of working out for so long and improving yourself. The hardest part is keeping up, not telling someone else that you want to do it. Maybe your dad just genuinely convinced you and gave you the room to pursue what's really true to who you are.

  4. Theres one interesting detail that you might have missed, Mark. In japan's samurai culture, when the swordman throw away his scabbard, it means that he have no intention to ever sheathe his sword again, which means that he is going to fight to his death. In modern culture, this action was changed to "throw the shoes away" which may indicate a suicide intention. So, in other words, when Reigen threw his shoes away as the song 99 starts playing, he was ready to die. Nothing would stop him from reaching Mob. This makes the scene even more epic.

  5. Idk how they make 12 episodes feel like 24… They have a way of cramming so much in so little without it feeling rushed or confusing.

I thought Season 2 was my favourite, but this breakdown of Season 3 might have made it my favourite instead… I forgot how badass dimple was, and how hurt he was… I forgot how mature Mob became, and how reflexive Rei was. I loved Takeru's undying resolve to do good, and the S2 villain and his child bonding and just saying fck this shit I'm out.

I watched Mob Psycho as a pass time, right before the last episode of S2 aired, and I was so shocked by how moving and charming it was! I always recommend this to everyone, and it sucks that most of us wouldn't really give this art style a chance from afar

  6. I thought I have finished all my tears for MP100 after finishing the manga, finishing the anime and countless video essays on it and you were still able to concisely talk about why this story is so special, so dear. Thank you

  7. Damn, I wasn't expecting this review series to hit me as hard as it did. I hope I can make that one little step too in my life. College is tough and scary, but I'll try something.
