  1. Delphine giving the Dragonborn an ultimatum only shows how little she knows the Blades. The Blades serve the Dragonborn, not the other way around. Parthurnaax was way helpful compared to Delphine and the blades. Installed a Parthurnaax Quest expansion mod so that I could remind Delphine and Esbern of their place. Besides, the Greybeards will no longer assists the Dragonborn in finding Words of Power if you kill Parthurnaax. Totally not worth killing our brother from another creature. 😂 I can live without the blades and whatever passive esbern gives. Should have given esbern to the Thalmor instead. 🙄

  2. Killing Paarthurnax is a lot more grey than just "you want to continue the Blades quest? Then kill the only good dragon around". Paarthurnax was the most evil dragon of his time (second only to Alduin, but he is god like creature that is supposed to end to world anyway). During a whole era he killed scores of humans, enslaved the sentient races and was tyrant as Alduin's number 2. The thing is, he was born and lived around a race that considered this the right thing to do and he was the only one of them that broke free of that mentality and became good. The point of killing him or not is 'can you forgive his horrible atrocities that happened ages ago? And do you believe someone can escape punishment for their past deeds by doing good ones? I still think killing him his wrong, but it's not like the Blades don't have a point.

  3. There are many dead rising bosses who I simply feel bad for, like the ex soldier from the first one who's war ptsd kicked in when he saw his granddaughter being eaten alive, Ted from dr2, the autist, who only wanted to find foot for the only friend he ever had(a tiger), that one soilder from dr2, that after his whole squad was killed loosed his grap to reality and zhi from dr3, where simply everything went wrong for him to the point where he did the finishing blow himself.

  4. Uhm… about bloodwing, its not us who kill bloodwing, We fight Bloodwing to get her weaker but Jack is going through every element mutation through the fight, but its the explosive element that blows up Bloodwing's head, it's not us that kill it, its Jack

  5. Nice one with The Beat from Furi. The way her boss battle starts with a chase where she's pleading with you is really the tip-off that you're the aggressor and she really doesn't want to fight.
But there are a couple pretty glaring omissions from the list in my opinion (and a couple that I just like haha):
    1) The Boss (Metal Gear Solid 3): Pretty shocked she didn't make it onto the list, she was the first villain that popped into my head. After you defeat her she's lying there waiting for you to use the patriot gun to end her, and I stood there for quite a while hoping that there'd be an alternative to killing her, but of course there wasn't because dying at your hands was her final mission.
    2) Hugo (A Plague Tale: Requiem): Granted your character Amicia is not exactly forced to kill him, but it's either that or stand by long enough for Lucas to do it for you. The whole game is pretty traumatic, but for it to end that way with no shot at Hugo living after all he had to go through was just heartbreaking.
    3) Jetstream Sam (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance): He always had good guy vibes about him and was a pretty likable, honorable character despite being on the other side. Of course you learn that he was never down with the cause and was forced into join Armstrong's cause, and he was willing to die in battle against you if it meant you were able to stop Armstrong. Still didn't want to kill the guy though haha.
    4) Nidhogg (God of War: Ragnarok): All she's there to do is take care of the World Tree's roots, and Odin duped her into attacking you but cursing the tree's roots to bind Freya to Midgard and forcing you to destroy them. You not only are forced to fight and brutally kill her, but you orphan her 6 children (who thankfully you find a home for with Ratatoskr).

  6. Orin as the face for a video talking about villains you didn't want to kill is really bad, although I guess it did in the end get me to come here and check if you really put Orin on the list, so maybe that was the point?

  7. Mordecai, I'm sorry brother, I know we both loved Bloodwing but what Handsome Jack did to her, hurt her man, I'm sorry I had to kill her brother but it was to spare her the suffering she was going through.

Also, Bloodwing is a FEMALE and not a male, how can the host get the most important thing about Bloodwing WRONG. Did the host play through Borderlands 1 & 2 and not hear Mordecai call Bloodwing a girl

  8. You got sif wrong. When you summon sif, its in the past after you save Sif. Sif didn't forgive you. However, if you do the DLC first, then battle Sif then you get a special cutscene where Sif recognises you but still has to battle you. This feels way worse 🙁

  9. You dont summon Sif to help you AFTER you put her down. You go into the past and become friends with Sif in an effort to help and subsequently avenge Artorius. Before the initial fight with Sif she sniffs you and then lets out a somber howl. This is because she recognizes you from the past (which our character doesnt know about yet) but knows how this fight is going to have to end. Making it all the more tragic.

  10. I feel they did us dirty with Sif. Being able to do the dlc first and getting a scene that just cuts deeper before the fight instead of something like having the shield that protects young sif from the abyss be another way to get to the four kings is just cruel lol

  11. I would say every single ultimate in the Danganronpa series excluding the masterminds of course. They only killed because they were forced to by being emotionally manipulated and in a way we kill them by finding them guilty.

  12. I thought Orin was going to be in this from the thumbnail. Of all the villains I couldn't wait to kill it was her. Insufferable. Annoying. Lacking all nuance, just evil for the sake of being evil, and the monologuing. Dear God spare from from the endless villain monologuing in that game!

  13. No mention of Matriarch Benezia? She's properly diabolical sure, and idk if this is just if you bring Liara with you. But in her moments of clarity you genuinely feel bad for her despite knowing that she has to die.

  14. Speaking of Baldur's Gate, wasn't one of the Five in Throne of Bhaal also a badass hero trying to do right? I forget his name, but it's that monk in the desert oasis. When it's pretty much already too late, you learn he was only playing along with his (and yours, incidentally) siblings in order to perform a ritual to destroy the power of Bhaal and rid the world of its evil forever (it's been too long, I will freely admit. Feel free to correct me)

  15. Paarthunax is more than just the Dragonborn's guiding mentor, he's the dragon that worked with Kyneraeth to give humankind the Voice. His being targeted by the Blades (and the off-hand nature of it all) is so annoying that there are Multiple efforts to give the Paarthunax situation the meaning it deserves… and give you the option to tell Delphine to pound sand.

  16. How is Shriek from Ori and the Will of the wisp not mentioned. Every time I replay that game I’m always crying at the end during the boss. She was misguided and all she wanted was to be loved and I have to be the one to kill her 😢

  17. You do realize you don't kill bloodwing, right! Jack does. As far as you know, you're just trying to get bloodwing to a point that Mordecai can tranquilize the bird and hopefully cure it.
