10 Video Game Sidekicks More Interesting Than The Hero

In many ways, video game sidekicks are a lot like younger siblings: they all too often follow us aimlessly and without any apparent capacity for independent thought. Offering scant backup to a bona fide hero rarely allows much glory for the sidekick, who generally seems perpetually doomed to live in the protagonist’s shadow. It’s certainly tough, but someone’s gotta do it – and by “it”, we mean carrying our weapons while we do all the work. However, there are occasions where the sidekick actually makes for a far more compelling character than the protagonist, and it’s those instances we’re looking at for our list today. Here are 10 Video Game Sidekicks More Interesting thanthe Hero.

  1. Yo what should I have said here, earlier a woman sad to me a gas engineer was coming on to her, I said “some guys just ask out every woman they meet, they’re dumb, they should at least get a type you know”, then I said “don’t worry you’re not even remotely my type at all”, now she seemed a little angry, but what on earth should I have said?

  2. How is Midna, from Twilight Princess … the titular "Twilight Princess" herself, not even on the list?

She is only one of THE most Interesting characters in one of the most Popular franchises in the World.

You could make an entire Spinoff game based on her alone. She would certainly deserve it more than Tingle, who got at least 3, that I know of.

  3. How about B12 in Stray? Your cute little flying android who gives you the backpack towards the beginning, they have a very rich and heart-breaking story that slowly unfolds as the game progresses. While our protagonist is adorable, at the end of the day you're simply playing as a regular cat who wants to find its way home.

  4. It's nice watching a triple jump video without seeing Ashton's belly button 37 times. Not that there is anything wrong with her body in any way shape or form she's a pretty girl is just annoying and redundant
