I’m your host, Darren Van Dam!

Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.

Thanks for watching!

  2. In the 1990s, Empire magazine gave away the Quentin Tarantino screenplay for Natural Born Killers taped top the front cover and… It was rubbish! I was working in a cinema back then and a big Tarantino fan having loved Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, but the NBK screenplay was packed with those typical Early Tarantino tropes that looked like it was written by someone in their first year at film school. A disjointed, ego-driven mess that would have made a much worse film than what Oliver Stone turned out.

  3. One of the best parts of Natural Born Kilers is the cut scene, a TV interview with classic 80s action studs; The Barbarian Brothers! More Robert Downy Junior, a great setup, and giant meat-boys getting mutilated with chainsaws (but being surprisingly upbeat about it :D)!!

  4. "You can't fight in here! This is the war room!' Dr. Strangelove often appears on "Top 100" lists as it is truly a great film. Kubrick made three fantastic anti-war movies, Strangelove, Paths of Glory, and Full Metal Jacket. I'd classify Strangelove as a dark comedy. If you get a chance to see it, when it comes down to the last scene, catch a glimpse of the "Soviet ambassador," played by Peter Bull, trying mightily to avoid cracking up at Peter Sellers' over the top portrayal of Dr. Strangelove.

  5. Hey Darren! People! If You've never seen Cabin Fever, do it NOW! Been on the fence with It Comes at Night, thanks for pushing me! Don't remember much from when I watched Machette in 2010 – except the intestines-as-a-rope scene! WOW!
    Thanks as always!

  6. I know I’m a little late to this, just discovered your channel through the video you did with Tastes Like Music. Great ranking, I also have Rough And Rowdy Ways right near the top! You mentioned the print being a bit small on some of the CDs, you may have found out by now but the book included in the set contains all of inlay notes from each album 😊

  7. I love Dr Strangelove. The worst movie that is worth fotgetting is Everything Everywhere at Once, biggest piece of shite, the whole movie should have been left on the cutting room floor.

  8. Great video, as usual.
Wish I was of normal size so I could rock me some St. Nicholas, as well.
Had a thought, that I'll toss to commenters and the channel: Are there recent movies that you know you will love, but also know they will "fugg" you up for a bit, and you need to be in the exact right mood?
Mine are the recent "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Infinity Pool". Actually, started dipping my toe into the Infinity Pool, thinking it would be a regular body horror, but the opening cinematography and sound design quickly dispelled that foolish notion.
