Couple other tips:
– In my game, some of the space station NPCs would not talk to me. I had to leave and come back.
– If you've been playing a while and haven't missed previous expeditions, there should be three frigates you can get for free from the expedition rewards vendor in the space anomaly. You can use those if you would like to actually complete the missions.
– The tip in this video for getting the data for Nada is great but (correct me if I'm wrong) I think you'll need to reach Rendezvous 5 first before opening up that milestone.

Any equipment I should take with me when starting from an existing save? 8:48
I used my personal ship for the 8 systems milestone. Asked Polo for a black hole and went through so I was well away from the rendezvous systems. Once I found a first contact, I traveled to all the closest stars and got all 8 done in a little fuel-efficient pocket. The biggest problem with this method is space battles, especially frigate battles, which triggered in 3 consecutive systems for me.
Also you can do the frigate missions last and have two frigates available, one being the reward frigate, so build a second command room and send them both off on separate missions, if you'd rather not cheese completion.

Using the small refiner you can dupe the slot augments till you get enough to open all slots on ship, backpack and freighter as well as all build parts for freighter.
anyone else have a glitch were you cannot access crashed freighter logs? literally nothing works.

The game won't let me use all 5 charts for interstellar rescue. I've tried about 30 times, no way my luck is so bad that it gives me the same one every time.
Is it possible to go back to your main server after starting the expedition to move more items? I wish I had seen this before and brought a bunch of looms from my main save
Wish I'd known the "cancelling the fleet expedition" trick. I'm glad the more recent updates have included less time-gated content.
I forgot all of my earned frigate modules/bulkheads in the flippin' frigate's cargo storage. Please check your storages before turning in the expedition.
Is there any benefit to doing this expedition if you have already done the original?
They had to slow us down with the Fleet expedition section didnt they ? No matter what, that one mission is going to take around 3 hours.
