  3. Hell yall talkin bout patriots vs saints but the real game everyone wanted to see was another rams vs chiefs shootout let’s not forget Dee ford lining up offside or that game would have been over along and I’m tired of hearing bout New Orleans they still took the lead after the no call all they had to do was stop Goff Gurley was hurt and they couldn’t do that and got the ball first in o/t they had 3 chances to still win that game and didn’t

  4. Something that wasn't mentioned about the '94-95 Superbowl matchup that we were deprived of is that both the 49ers and Steelers would have been playing for their fifth Superbowl. Not only that, but Joe Montana originally wanted to be traded to the Steelers (he grew up in Pittsburgh) but the Steelers were happy with Neil O'Donnell so they said 'no.' Imagine an alternate reality where the Steelers said, 'yes,' Joe Montana goes back home to play for his childhood team and faces San Fran in the Superbowl.

  5. I wanted the Rams to get another crack at Baltimore. Except for inept punt coverage, think about it. And now this year has turned me into a Lions hater. Because back in 1971 when I began at age 15 to follow the NFL, the dirtiest team in football were the Raiders, besides becoming a Rams fan, I became a Chief's fan as well. And since Ram fans can't stand the 40-Whiners, GO CHIEFS!

  6. PS – Two teams that should be forever banned from going to the Super Bowl, are the both piteful 0-4 Vikings and Bills. I watched Thurman Thomas plain give up at the beginning of his last "Super" Bowl. Pffffffftttttt! Loser!

  7. For Super Bowl 50,I would have liked to have seen the Cardinals and Broncos go at it. Carson Palmer taking on Peyton Manning. Surprisingly,no one mentioned Super Bowl 42 in wanting the Cowboys and Patriots go at it.

  8. I wish the Vikings instead of the Saints had been in super bowl 44. Manning vs Favre then I would have been ok with either team winning. Do remember in super 48 everyone wanted the Seahawks and the Broncos we got that and it ended up being a garbage super bowl. So even when we get the matchup we want does not necessarily mean it's going to be a great game.

  9. That missed Fins-Bears Super Bowl hurts my soul to this day. It's no consolation to have definite proof that at least the NFL wasn't rigged at that point. That game would've set the record for the highest rated TV show ever, guaranteed. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced this is what got the NFL to start rigging certain outcomes.

  10. Please tell me I wasn't the only one in the '90s who was ecstatic about no Bills-49ers Super Bowl. Seeing Chris Berman cream his pants on air for 2 weeks would've been too much to take.

  11. The Raiders and Cowboys were the NFL's two biggest marquee teams in the '70s. Three times both teams were a game away from facing each other in the Super Bowl, and all three times at least one team lost. Even worse, the only Cowboys-Raiders game of that entire decade was a completely meaningless season finale during the one time in an 18 YEAR STRETCH the Cowboys missed the playoffs (they were eliminated before the game). It also was a game away from happening in '80 as well. IMO this is the ultimate Super Bowl what if.
