They’re around all the time, they can bite and spread disease, and some species like bot flies are infamous for implanting larvae in your flesh. Gross! But if you’re still not convinced that flies are worthy of your fear, let’s take a look at some more of the terrible things flies bring with them.

Robot flies remind me of that Xfiles episode about the cockroaches
Hopefully they make the robotic flies vomit too
Someone should genetically engineer a virus that only kills mosquitoes. Imagine the lives you could save. Then hopefully other flies/ insects will take their place and become food for whatever else but if not, so be it, it would be worth it.
I know a way to always get the fly: wait until it lands on a flat surface and then clap your hands just a centimeter “above” it (90 degrees from the surface) the fly goes straight into the trap caught between the hands. Or you can use a fly swatter.
They’ll crap on your potato salad too😂
This is why we should be kind to Spiders…what are the odds that Simon next does a TopTen about spiders…we need Bats!…OMG! that's just encouraging Him!..Run,.save yourselves….aaaasrgh!….Oops!…
Usually simon is my go to for bed time routine. And throughout the years he has never disappointed me with interesting facts to lull me to sleep.
SO WHY ARE WE COVERING THIS NOW???
I will probably never sleep again
Bad time for me to start eating my questionable chicken chow main
My grandma used to make homemade bread. She would leave butter on table. After watching the fly. I was grossed out by flies on butter after seeing the movie The Fly.
didn't care about them only paid 1% more attention in the summer until now thanks guys
I'm also afraid of incest and incense and insects.
This (flies) is one of the many reasons I love spiders.
“There once was a woman who swallowed a fly.”
F*ck dat sh*t.
So that's why the bug Pokemon evolve so quickly in Pokemon the developers took it from reality
Flies aren't real
2:20
Yikes🪰🙀👀
It's terrible what bot flys do to kittens
Not sure what I was expecting from this video. But I now need to lay down and cry. Thanks, Simon.
Hahaha 😝
OMG… who the hell research and wrote this? savage.
Flies are from the devil.🔥
Where's the Raid?? 😛
I always thought harder to swat because of the air resistance and that’s why there’s holes in swatters
Thank you simon i was very hungry a bit ago but after watching this video i no longer want to eat anything
You mean there's more to fear than the creepy, scheming and malignant way they're always rubbing their hands together?!
Why the heck did I click this… knew it was going to make me nauseous 😂
Anyone would think that flies do this to spit humans. They are just doing what flies do.
At picnics, you almost always have some wag who – after pointing out to him that there's a fly in the food – will always say "Don't worry, he won't eat much." I've always come back with "How do you know where that fly has been?" This video provides the perfect back up to my question.
I looked up the Neotrogla genus of flies, the fact that there are 4 different species that have this reverse sex-organ system is really interesting
I love this show. But based on the title alone. I cannot what this one. Lol.
I'm a bit confused about the inclusion of the sex-organ reversed insects. They belong to the order Psocoptera, which is booklice and the like, (some can have wings) the other examples on the list are Diptera. Still grateful to have these brought to my attention, and the "Bone Skipper" sounds like a Lovecraft creature!
Sometimes it seems that something is not quite right here in suburban Connecticut. I haven't seen a single fly in or near my home for months. Not even in the garbage bins. That's very unusual. Decades ago there would always be at least a few buzzing around in the house every day. (As a boy, I was the family bug hunter. I shot rubber bands to kill them, often with one shot). I've also got only 1 single mosquito bite over the whole summer. My family visiting from Eastern and Southern Europe were astonished by the absence of flying bugs. Even my Venus Flytrap plant died because there were no bugs, so I fed it hamburger. Oops. Bees are also very low in numbers. So now I sit here just foreboding in the dark, wondering how serious this could be.
My favorite sentence in the English language:
Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana.
(It has nothing to do with this video other than mentioning flies. I just like thinking about that sentence.)
This should have been a Blaze episode.
"When we reflect that the fly was as not invented for pastime, but in the way of business; that he was not flung off in a heedless moment and with no object in view but to pass the time, but was the fruit of long and pains-taking labor and calculation, and with a definite and far-reaching, purpose in view; that his character and conduct were planned out with cold deliberation, that his career was foreseen and fore-ordered, and that there was no want which he could supply, we are hopelessly puzzled, we cannot understand the moral lapse that was able to render possible the conceiving and the consummation of this squalid and malevolent creature."
Mark Twain, quoted by Christopher Hitchens in his book "The Portable Atheist".
Botflies don't actually lay eggs on humans, a botfly will lay it's egg on another flying insect which will then land on the human.
For removing large fly infestations wrap empty kitchen trash cans in fly paper and leave them in problem areas.
I feel differently now when I see that a tree has “fallen “ on a house and killed someone…. Seems like a swat now
I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing "Number 10…" I love the way you present content
Saw a botfly larva emerge from the leg of a squirrel. I can't imagine the feeling of something the size of my thumb wriggling inside my flesh.
This is totally NOPE!!! Watched a minute 30 before turning it off. Thanks Simon and crew!🤢
And people worry about the birds
Thanks Simon for making me worry about fly’s 😂
The flies in the two parks didn't evolve to live there;. they have adapted. They are still flies ! It's not like they changed into something else
Simon your contribution to my knowledge have been greatly appreciated love king ..your a legend …keep a clean heart and mind ..keep teaching us ..respect
