I will continue to stand by my opinion that the Mass Effect ending wasn't bad, people just were expecting perfection and literally nothing would've been good enough for those people.
Those Mary Jane stealth missions and Spider-Man needing to sneak capture enemies was the reason I stopped playing it.
I didn't actually think the MJ stealth sections in Spider-Man where that bad, especially the one at Grand Central Terminal, I just thought there where too many of them.
I like the explanation of why in just cause 1 last mission is so frustrating and seems like kind of a mess. "We did not know what we were doing" was the explanation developers gave.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution “step back into the shoes of Adam Jensen”. Huh? You played as JC Denton in the original Deus Ex. HR is a prequel set 25 years before the events of the original Deus Ex.
I always have to correct the record when younger people talk about E.T. on the 2600. A lot of people enjoyed it, including my brothers and I. We competed to see who could complete it fastest before speed running existed as a term.
I am gonna be the one to say it: High Road is not hard at all. It really isn't. Even when considering not using the ropes to skip the difficult parts.
The Atlas fight isn't that bad.
The Mary Jane parts weren't bad.
This Chanel 100 percent paid by game developers no consumer would defend them and the corporate greed this much
konami might as well not even be a games company anymore cus all they do is make trash phone games and gambleing machines. such a waste of such great ip's like at this point they should just sell mgs and silent hill to another company cus hell even ea would treat them better than konami has
12:12 from dev to janitor 🤯
Pretty sure they did their 007 math wrong.
People are not complaining about the correct parts of the Goldeneye port. The control scheme for the switch is almost unplayable. How hard would it have been to map the buttons to the normal shooter controls. The textures, sounds and fps are all authentic to the original game, only an idiot would expect them to be anything but dated. The controls however had to be remapped off the N64 remote and they chose the worst control scheme in history for the switch.
The real reason people dislike the last of us 2 is because they never liked the first game and gully missed the point of what it is saying and when the sequel continues saying the same thing people became whiny that they're incorrect interpretation was flat out wrong
The MJ sections were fun for me, however i am also jonesing for more metal gear solid so maybe im just crazy.
The Nintendo switch version of goldeneye is horrible borderline unplayable compared to the Xbox version
Goldeneye released on Xbox and switch 26 years after the original not 15 years.
I feel a lot of the complaining about the MJ sections in Spider-Man is a little overblown, I could understand if they were long & drawn out but every time you take control of her it’s literally like a five minute sequence
HSWWSH Seriously, as an 80's kid, my favorite 2600 games were Indiana Jones, Yar's Revenge (I have the cover tattooed on my arm) and I also played the hell out of ET. It wasn't until years later that I found they were all made by the same dude. For all the flak ET gets, it wasn't THAT bad as far as Atari 2600 games go. They just overestimated the sales figures. Drastically.
Wait … the person in charge of creating the boss fights for deus ex didn’t know what the game was even going to be, so he just winged it and turned in the final product, possibly with absolutely no communication. How does that happen. Like which side thought that was a good idea, the team making boss fights for a game they know nothing about or the game developers that asked a 3rd party team to create the boss fights with absolutely nothing to go on.
The Mary Jane missions absolutely sucked and had no reason to be there. She's just a normal woman and it's so boring.
A better use of mary jane in the game would have been her using her reporter connections to give spidey info. But instead we got stealth sections were she puts herself in dangerous situations were she could easily get killed. Which is what happens by the way if you fail one. And in world of super heros not calling your super hero friend to do the heavy lifting so to speak just makes you look like a dumbass.
Anybody else love ET on the 2600 or am I the only one??

Forced stealth sections in games can be a good thing if they’re done well. Mech assault 2 did a good job of it because it gave you a tense situation where you had no way to directly fight back until you could find a vacant mech, and in the meantime you have to either sneak around them, slowly dwindle them down with explosives, or topple a building to take out a mech in one go. It was a nice change of pace. Also these sections weren’t dragged out, and didn’t span entire levels. There was only 2 or 3 mandatory stealth sections and they were only small sections in levels if I remember correctly. Other than that the game only recommended stealth in some areas, and did not force your hand in it outside of the 2-3 areas.
2:48 it should have gotten a mafia definitive edition or resident evil 2 remake treatment where the game was built from the group up on the core ideas of the orginal.
8:41 its not that forced stealth sections are bad its that instant fail on being spotter is pure cancer because it takes away players agency and beats them with a road block. If you want good stealth sections look at batman arkham servies he can get caught but the game doesnt fail, rather he gets shot until he dies or finds a hiding spot. The game tells the players they need to try harder if they want batman to stay alive, instead of reseting them for minor mistakes that will make a controller take flight.
If you want stealth sections at least employ takedowns like instead of Mary Jane employ Kathryn “Kitty” Pryde stealth sections in either Spider-Man 2 or Wolverine. Then I’ll be like, “Go, you force those stealth section girl!” Otherwise don’t do nothin’ like that, do less stealth games do more fighting games like Bloody Roar and well, more experimental ones like a Bushido Blade sequel. Unless you intend to bring back Kojima… KONAMI!!
So instead of giving us a good ending, because of leaks that like 99% of people probably didn't pay attention to, they gave us garbage? Whoever had that idea should be banned from the industry.
Actually, I don't think that the five weeks produced that. I am pretty sure that he basically got told a weekend before the release he had to remake the game completely. For a weekend of work and being the only person working on the game? It can be seen as better than a large swathe of LJN titles.
I enjoyed mj sections but i do we sh she was full city playable maybe even had her own super powers at some point
So we're dragging the MJ stealth sections, but not the Miles ones? Seems like a very cool, not at all sexist, thing to do…
