10 People Who Are the Only People to Ever Do a Thing (So Far)

Everything that has ever been done or ever will be done had to start somewhere. One person was the first and only person to do that thing, at least for a while.

  2. Harry Truman, the only WWI veteran to become President.

Dwight Eisenhower was in the army during the period of WWI, but did not serve in Europe and is not a veteran of the war. He was studying to be a tank commander.

  3. 3:28 This one seems bizarre. When it was decided to create a syllabus, make course material and run courses, how many students were expected to take the course? Just Shortz? This all seems to be a stunt.

  4. Only 2 people have written a no. 1 song and been a Nobel prize winner. Bob Dylan is one. The other is Charles Dawes, who actually has a third claim to Fame in being the Vice President of the United States from 1925 to 1929

  5. There have now been three other people to go both to space and Challenger Deep, including Victor Vescovo who is the pilot taking people down to Challenger Deep. Kathryn Sullivan was the first, but no longer the only.

  6. Isn't it crazy that an astronaut can don a spacesuit and work outside the spaceship relatively safely but it's impossible to do a similar feat at the lowest part of the ocean?

  7. Every second of everyday everyone is doing something that's only been done once and can never be done again… I'm the first and only person that has made this comment from my bed on this day, and nobody else will ever be able to do that… can I be #10 in your next video? Lol

  8. #9, (So Far?) Unless someone decides to waste a DeLorean for a chance to get shot with a musket then a tank, I don't think this is a "so far"… if you include things that are time sensitive or 1sts we'll be here all day… #11 Jack Whistler: Simon's great-grandpa was the last and only person to kiss Delores Whistler…(so far) ⛏️ ⚰️💀💋

  9. He may have felt he was being battered around by that storm up and down it may have actually saved his life may have acted as a sort of decompression chamber by lifting up and bring him down in such a instead oh continuing to decompress rapidly that storm prevented him from going straight down and decompressing even more rapidly and killing him, it made actually in a way save his life.

  10. The universe started, then it exist for a while, and then it ends. The the universe starts agian. It repeats endlessly. Between all the starts, and stops, there is an inbetween time. The inbetween isn't empty, but full of all kinds of things. One of those things is something like a zoo, and museum. In this zoo/museum are people that the only ones to do something, or the first to do something, or the last to do something. There is an endless list of categories. The point is, almost everyone has done something unique. Often multiple unique things, going off into the hundreds. Very few people escape zoo/museum by being average. So, this museum has some place you lived as your habitate. One side has a glass wall to be viewed. Across the hall from me in nice woman who I wave to everyday. Yeah everyone is sent there once in there life time for a few months. It's sort of a dry run. It's not so bad. You have a door that leads out into the world at the time of your home. It seems to be the same day, week, or month or something. I don't know. it might not be real. Any who, they people you have over to your apartment (I'm in an apartment I had in my twenties. ) never see the glass wall. I've never seen some one come to the museum. The girl across the hall read the plaque on my exhibit. It said a bunch of things. The top one was, I was the only person to beat a game called Crazy Creatures on two player mode. There was more but the girl across the hallway got tired of writing notes. Anywho, I was there a month, and I talked to the girl on sheets of paper. She, the girl across the hall was very loney in life. I guess only having a friend after the world comes to an end is to much for her. I think she from fifties, or sixties. Her claim to fame is fairly sad. She last person killed by a famous serial killer. The keepers of the zoo/museum look human, but they are not human. Still they are very nice. I wrote a letter on the outside world, and tried to warn the woman across the hall about being murdered. I don't know it the world is real, but I tried. For some reason, they let me remember the dry run because of the letters I wrote. I was told we are allowed to have party every hundred years. Maybe I will see you there.

  11. Kathryn Sullivan may have been the first woman to both travel to space and to the Mariana Trench at the bottom of the Earth's ocean, but she was not the first person to do it. James (Jim) F Reilly has also done both.

  12. Number two on your list is wrong how can you be a World War I veteran if he didn’t step foot in Europe during World War I. I’m sorry but being in the military during World War I does not make you a World War I veteran
