  8. Slapped Cheek Syndrome is raging through Central Europe as we speak. TBF, it is not the most terrible of diseases but it can turn into juvenile arthritis and be a serious charge on health systems. Slovakia are even debating closing their borders again – ok, it's the Slovakian version of an Early Day Motion, and it is highly unlikely to pass, but they are discussing it.

  16. Hearing that other childhood vaccines are neglected because of COVID when prepubescent kids without existing, severe, heath problems are asymptomatic makes me as irritated as;

    Fear mongering instead of giving parents data on the disease.

    Not having children go into one classroom and the teachers move about, with regular testing for all teachers, staff, and students.

    Not immediately having both vulnerable children and those with elderly or vulnerable family living in their homes stay home and stay quarantined.

    A lot of other things relating to how badly this was all handled.

  44. Disappointed not to see tuberculosis included. I generally agree with the members of this list and the need to keep ongoing outbreaks in the public consciousness, but tuberculosis is said to have current infection rates of over a billion people. With ongoing concern about increased antibiotic resistance this should be talked about more.
