Don't bother with Soul Hackers 2, it's complete, utter garbage.
I really hope Digimon Story 6 and MHST 3 release on Switch 1 before I upgrade to the Switch 2.
I'm surprised Cassette Beasts doesn't run well on Switch since you'd think the game wouldn't need a lot of power to run.
Honestly, the Pokemon games would run like crap anyway even on Switch 2 given the developer's history. I will be seriously shock if Palworld made it to Switch 2 given the lawsuit situation. Switch 2 is already backwards compatable so I'm not sure if re-releases would help
Pokemon is always late to put their games on a new Nintendo console and handheld. At least in the first year of a Nintendo console including handhelds as well. Gen 10 is probably coming out next year in 2026 at the 30th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. As for Pokemon legends arceus and let’s go, they are in fact mainline games. The Pokemon company has already confirmed that. Plus if gamefreak is making the game, they are most likely a mainline game as gamefreak doesn’t make the Pokemon spinoff games.
The only Pokemon spinoff game that game gamefreak has ever made is Pokemon quest. As well as Pokemon Let’s go being apart of gen 7, making Pokemon let’s go a gen 7 mainline game. Gen 7 consists of Pokemon sun and moon, ultra sun and moon, and let’s go. Just like legends arceus is a gen 8 mainline game and legends z-a is a gen 9 mainline game.
Wasn't Switch 2 already confirmed for backwards compatibility????
Also, Pokemon Legends: Z-A was already confirmed, and this is their wording: "Releasing on all Switch consoles."

I would love to replay Dragon Quest Monsters on Switch 2. Hopefully the new power can get it to a steady 60 fps.
I would like to see a new Medabots game on the Switch 2, but I know that the chances of that coming about, let alone it coming outside of Japan, are nill.
You wanna talk about "Burying The Hatchet", Palworld on Switch 2 would be exactly that! LOL Although, i will say the sales would increase by alot if it were to happen, and it would break the internet haha.

From what i heard, Switch 2 seems to have the ability to play Switch 1 games and they are aiming to do it so, in a similar manner as they had with Nintendo DS for the advance and gameboy games.
If this is so, this would mean they could mean that we can play games we already have there. I mainly only wonder, if this is true, if that means the games we bought online could be the same? Also, didnt switch released these game cards where we can install inside them games to carry over?
These are just my opinions, but it does seem to me that they were preparing for this too, probably for the old games performances issues.
I'd say Soul Hackers 2 is even less likely than Palworld. I've not heard much good about it and the ratings were pretty bad overall.

Soul Hackers 2 was a huge flop. I just saw the game for $6. I doubt it's coming.
Legends had performance issues?
A lot of people seem upset over the Yokai Watch spiritual successor so who knows how well it will do. I saw people saying they just wanted Yokai Watch.
If the games are already out on switch, and the switch 2 can run switch games, then they might not even need a re-release to see performance increases, just having the beefier hardware should make them run better.
Digimon story cyber sleuth yes! But they have to have it set up so that when you put the console to sleep it pauses the game instead of keeping the time running. Literally the only reason I stopped playing 😔
At least yo ki watch remastered would be nice
While I don't care about graphics. I DO care about performance.
The last straw with the Switch for me was Cult Of The Lamb.
Soooooo many issues with bugs & performance on Switch, that where still that way months later.
I couldn't even fish. It just outright didn't work.
PC however, I never had any issues.
The Switch actually felt next gen to me when it came out.
Because it wasn't just another console with slightly better graphics & a game price hike that PC already had beat.
It's portable+home console gimmick was revolutionary.
But now the Steam Deck is a thing.
There is zero reason to buy a game on Switch that you can also put on that.
So the Switch2 needs to do a lot to compete with that.
But knowing Nintendo, it won't. It'll be the same thing with slight improvements. So not worth choosing over the Steam Deck.

Steam Decks are a decent alternative to the Switch. Aside from Nintendo exclusives, The Steam deck can run all of the Monster Taming games out. You might have to tweak the deck a bit. For example I've been playing Cyber Sleuth on my Deck, Steam says it's Unsupported but I downloaded it and have been playing it just fine with no tweaking at all. Further more because it uses Steams cloud based storage I can play on my deck, then continue playing on my PC later from the same save file. Also Monster taming games so far don't appear to eat through my battery like major AAA games do. Since I'm boycotting Nintendo during the Palworld Lawsuit because I think what Nintendo is doing is disgusting, it's a good alternative. Further more I can link my VR Headset to my Steam and play my game in VR with a theater sized screen.
I'm happy for the Nintendo switch to and I hope that they do better than what they've been doing and that the switch to isn't going to be A massive let down
Gamefreak could literally gett such a big win if they just gave us back the national dex, and made catching them all possible again…
