  1. Paranoia Agent wasn’t anywhere near as horrible as the most of list. It was actually an interesting watch and its more thrilling scenes were further along the lines of slightly creepy than completely disturbing. Two of the worst to me are Midori and Tokyo Tribe. IYKYK

  2. Monster is a great anime.

Wouldn't call it disturbing. Would call it unforgettable. Haven't seen it in probably 20 years and still remember a decent amount of the story.

While I have watched Gunslinger girl, I don't remember much about it beyond gunslinging…girls. Hah.

Guess I found two I should rewatch. Will have to check out the others. Think I'll skip that one you started the video with.

  3. Shiki

Shiki is a slow burn horror show where three people move into the isolated village of Sotoba. Sotoba is unique as they are one of the few places in Japan that still buries its bodies. Then, when going to visit the new family, a girl named Megumi goes missing and a couple days later, mysteriously dies. Then as more people die in the village in this manner the doctor, Ozaki starts to suspect that a new virus has broken out. While this is going on, one of Megumi’s classmates, Natsuno even though she’s dead gets a horrible feeling she’s still watching him from beyond the grave. At this point, you should know what’s going on even though the characters don’t even though it’s pretty obvious. Why? Rational thinking. Honestly proud of the characters for using rational thinking the whole time until they get proof backed by undeniable evidence that they accept reality. There’s a huge complex cast of characters but these are very few. It’s just about impossible to find the show, let alone the book itself. But, you can find bootlegged versions on YouTube. Check it out! They take full advantage of animation to make it scary as possible.
