  1. Why’d you choose the “10 MORE Things” title, but not do the countdown format? I couldn’t even tell how many things you listed off about it, because they kinda just ran together.

  2. I used to force my dad to rent this movie because i loved the batman and robin trailer on it…this movie is quirky and i used to imagine what a superman film by tim burton would look like. Its funny how there is a sequence in man of steel that resembles the mars attack scene in the desert, and now the flash with ezra miller. Warner bros really likes to rehash their ideas

  3. I have a film theory.
Any comedy "party-movie" that your obviously supposed to watch high. You're intended to smoke when the characters get high. And you're supposed to be in the peek of a shroom or acid trip.

  4. Would anyone believe there are people who strongly believed Mars Attack was a SERIOUS sci-fi movie? Even when I stated Best Buy had it in their comedy section some guys couldn't believe a big business chain like Best Buy would make such a stupid mistake ….. LOL

  5. Mars Attacks was right up there with Forbidden Planet. It's great to see a modern SciFi movie produced like a classic. Loved everything about this movie. Critics don't know what they are talking about.

  6. Don't forget the music; that is one of my all-time favorite movie scores. It's cinematic, bombastic, and cartoonish—complete with a theremin as the key, lead instrument.

  7. I fricking love this movie! It took me by surprise by the quirkiness, the silliness, the CAST, and has one of my favorite lines: "We still have two out of three branches of Government working, and that ain't half bad!"

  8. Coming from Germany, it was sold as the Indepedence Day Spoof. I remember watching this at the cinema with a group of friends and having a good laugh. We all loved it but were wondering, why it was sold as a ID4 Spoof? 😀 I never knew it was a bomb back then.

  9. I really loved "Mars Attacks!" from the beginning BECAUSE it was so odd. And that hilarious yodeling song…. so obnoxious that it made the Martians heads explode. I mean, who ever would think about that other than the Master of the Bizarre himself, Tim Burton?

    Plus:
    "The Van Bueren chandelier…!"
"You stay here and defend this trailer!"
    LOL

But yes,e those d**n burning cows really were a little OTP.

  10. American loved the movie of the ones who saw it. Its true 100% that the movie was not marketed properly. It was a great movie but there were 0 commercials for it, 0 posters, 0 media talking about it and it was put in the D film category by Warner Brothers before releasing it. It was 100% Warner Brothers dropping the ball on it completely.

  11. I saw Mars Attacks in the theater and was blown away! The fact that it flopped is a downright tragedy. The concept of the government being run by oblivious buffoons was hilarious to me. Who would've thought that Mars Attacks could predict the future?

  12. I remember waiting in line to see this with my dad and heard people who just finished watching it complaining how dumb it was. I was 11 and knew what to expect from the movie. I don’t know why adults didn’t. I love this movie!

  13. I wouldn't overthink it, it's simply just not funny enough. I was also more like disturbed than anything else by the very obvious second character also played by Jack Nicholson.
