  1. Even though Night of The Living Dead built on the "claustrophobic" feel, I think Dawn of the Dead, builds on the "expanded spacces", "Isolation" feel, but that's just my opinion.

  2. To clarify on FD2’s highway scene, the logs were done digitally as they had realized the logs did not bounce off the truck as they had hoped. Jason Crosby, CG Supervisor at Digital Dimension had said:

“A large part of the effects needed for the film involved logs. I think it was our outstanding ability to create and model long primitive cylinders that really landed us the gig ;). Seriously, when New Line started shooting the major accident in Vancouver they discovered that real logs only bounced about an inch off the road when dropped from a logging truck. Obviously this didn’t have the impact they wanted for a Hollywood style crash scene. They were concerned about how they would make the shot happen, not knowing if CG would work. The timing was great because we had just finished a test shot of our CG logs bouncing on the freeway. We sent a tape to Vancouver and after seeing it the crew was convinced that any of the log shots could be done with CG.”

  3. It Follows has one of the most terrifying intros of any film I’ve seen. It’s so simple and impactful. No jump scares. You don’t even see anything until the body is revealed. It never fails to give me chills.

  4. Session 9 is brilliant. Fun Fact – Brad Anderson is on the clean up crew as the guy who listens to the tapes. ( Sessions 1 – 9 ) Not so fun fact – that is REAL asbestos peeling off the walls and ceiling and they filmed with it for a week. And on the roof they could only step on a few marked spots as the roof was falling in.

  5. A few movies come to mind that could be on another list: The Farm (2018), The Green Inferno (2013), Cannibal Ferox (1981), Eaten Alive (1980), Cannibal Holocaust (1980), and good portions of The Hitcher (1986), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) happen in daylight hours.

  6. A new one, Bring Out The Fear, is a horror set entirely during the day. In fact, the premise centers around the night never coming, but things still get dreary without being dark. Could be worth looking at for a future list!

  7. I watched Yellowbrickroad because of this video, and while I found the movie to be interesting to a point, the ending left me disappointed. I guess the townie's declaration that "if you live in Friar you know why they walked and if not you don't" is their get-out-of-jail-free card to make a movie that just doesn't make any sense.

  8. Ha! As soon as I saw the title of this vid I thought of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Funny how it's known as the bloodiest, most disgusting horror movie ever and it's got barely any blood. That's called amazing filmmaking and directing 😉 And Final Destination 2 has made both myself and SO many other people petrified of trucks carrying wood trunks on the back of it. Ya see it on the road and NOPE the hell out of there! XD

  9. Just in case anyone makes the same mistake I did thinking the inclusion of "Yellow Brick Road" in the #1 spot meant it was a good movie, it was not. Don't waste your time.

  10. The Remake of funny games is one of my favourite films. I used to put it on when people were sleeping on my couch and then I would go to bed and tell them it was a comedy😂
