  1. I'm a little torn on number 10. While I get that not everyone is a comic book fan, and as casual viewers the Mysterio "swerve" probably blew their minds. There's also a large portion of the MCU audience who already knew who Mysterio was, and were just waiting for the inevitable reveal rather than being fooled by anything.

  2. A further Shutter Island twist..he knew what was happening and deliberately acted as if he didnt so that he could be taken out of his misery. Its kind of obvious with that last speech

  3. Guys, even people who don't read the comics know who Mysterio is….A bad guy. Literally if you're even a kind of fan of Spider-Man you know before watching. That's like being shocked that Darth Vader is a bad guy.

  4. Mysterio being a villain isn’t the twist. The twist is that he faked his death at the end. Go back and watch it. Mysterio is never in the path of the bullets, fakes his death, and critically, PETER ASKED EDITH THE WRONG QUESTION. He said, “is this real,” to which EDITH says, “All illusions are down.” He never asked if Mysterio was alive, and this is how the video gets out with Mysterio outing Peter Parker as Spider-Man … he did it after.

For all his illusions, Mysterio is first and foremost an actor, and the entire movie is setting up that moment. It wasn’t an illusion at the end, just a convincing performance.

  5. The Spiderman theory implies destiny and doesnt stand up to scrutiny… (a whole universe implodes when a canon event doesnt happen but its fine if a Spiderman is completely missing?)
