Some video game missions and sequences were so scary or tense that they were never replicated or represented in further sequels. Here are some spooky examples.

Didn't hear this mentioned in the video but the entire segment featured from Tomb Raider is all one big homage to a phenomenal horror film: spoiler warning

Not a mission, strictly speaking, but swamp was introduced in Demon Souls but then wasn't there in any of the Soulsborne games.
Oh wait……….
Max Payne baby level 😱
Was expecting to see some Eternal Darkness on this list but nope.
no mention of F.E.A.R ?
I was waiting for the Doc Ock/Carnage mission from Spider-Man 😂
Lucas's area in Resi 7 is one of my favorite parts of the game and one of the most stressful for me. I really hope that similar ideas get incorporated into future horror games. I loved Village, but Bioharzard is much scarier, aside from the House Beniviento section.
Agree 100% on the Dead Space 2 re enter Ishimura sequence. The first time you go through that part you are just intense in anticipation.
My God. The return to the Ishimura in dead Space 2 scared me shitless. Why? Well I'd just finished playing the first dead Space with trembling hands the day before.
God. The sounds
The staircase scene when Mia comes crawling up scared the ever living shit outta me
i hated resident evil because of the puzzle i had to get help from youtube
Ruvick was inconvenient to me but the sister levels is what scared me. The Ring had come out a yr or so before that and that messed me up man. Especially the level u have to fight her. Omg the hair over the face and spider look just creeped me out.
I grew up living on a lake and when I played Banjo Kazooie and got to Clanker's Cavern I became paranoid that a metal shark would get me while I swam. So to avoid this, I would pull my feet up as high as I could and still be able to tread water. I still sometimes catch myself doing it when I swim in lakes, even as an adult. lol
Re7 is the the most horrific chapter of all
You're really gonna put the banjo mission over the dead hand mini boss in Zelda ocarina of time? 😂. Not only that scary ass boss but also those fucking mummys that scream when you lock eyes with them and then they cling onto your back. Those were real childhood nightmares. Idk about that lame ass banjo shit your talking about 😂
Mmm they actually do explain what those creatures are in the bunker at the end of Uncharted. The treasure everyone's been searching for was tampered with by the original protectors of the the artifact.. they booby trapped it with an ancient solution that essentially turns anyone who comes into contact with it into what closely resembles vampires. Those creatures are all the people from over the years that have fell victim to the trap
What u didn't like doom 3?
The Watcher comes to mind from The Evil Within 2
That Dead Space 2 clip is painful to watch.
Oh god, the fucking Killer Croc mission! The first time he jumped out from the water during that mission (me having started it after about ten-minutes of pep-talk, because Croc terrified me from the moment I first saw him), I screamed and just ran back out of the sewer. It took me another try to realize that I was supposed to stand my ground and activate his shock collar. that entire mission was an anxiety attack.
Oh, also, the shark mission in the squeal. Not quite the same level of anxiety, but the intro did get me to scream, and then break down into tears. Fucking jumpscaring shark…
Damn Falcon has a whole nother level of energy with this one
Here's an underground horror game series no one seems to remember: the suffering and the suffering ties that bind. It's a shame midway went under
I remember playing the bunker mission in uncharted as a kid and was so scared I had to wait for my mom to come home from work and be in the room with me when I played it
what really scares me is how bad this video editing is, wtf is this pacing
I remember that Tomb Raider area. It made me feel nauseous at first 😂
For me one section of a video game that scared me was the school in F.E.A.R 2
Old school resident evil; got past all the jump scares just to run out of ammo at the boss. Back when we rented games for 3 days.
The Shark/music in Banjoo Kazooie was the scariest part.
Dying light custom level when your in the haunted house that keeps on repeating but gets scarier each time
Where's Subnautica?
Shalbridge Cradle from Thief 3. Never going back there.
Shalbridge Cradle from Thief 3. Never going back there.
mine is #7 because that Air drop mission when i played it Myself Damn I was instanly Exit the game and never Played it again
I am surprised non from Silent Hell is on your list.
