Another thing that is never consistent with Omnimon are the shoulders. Not the shield and spikes, but the parts underneath. They are meant to be blue and yellow but are sometimes white or both are yellow.
Didn't Sistermon Ciel only become official in Japan because someone on the design team say the censored version of Noir and liked the changes and made her her own Digimon. At least that was the rumor circling around and I just haven't looked into it.

I think the early designs in the number 8 slot are my favorites, mainly since it's great to see how the franchise got its start. I also wouldn't be surprised if Canonweissmon was based on those early Metalgreymon designs.

Maybe the design differences between Omnimon in Our War Games and Tri is from being able to add more detail for Tri?

I just finished next order. It was a great game and it seems like there’s a lot of lore from other Digimon games tied into it. Would you consider doing a video explaining the continuity of connected Digimon games?
I really don't know about this but I'm also a real big fan of digimon and I have an idea for another digimon video for you. It'll also be sort of like your what if characters had digimon partners videos but it'll be called what if ethobot and his little adopted sister and their friends had digimon partners and they'll be different digimon, Frank feathers' digimon partner is an mega level digimon and it'll be based off of and/or looks like the seregios from monster hunter rise and rise sun break + some of helluva boss asmodeus in his angry and more fiery form not his true form though but still + but of some world spryzen's avatar form from beyblade burst including his battle axe as well, also Frank feathers also has an axe too + nearly some of bowser being the hair, the shell, the spikes on his wrists,the horns, the claws, the forms that he has and can control nature and his great royalty if you searched up Bowser vs eggman death battle video of what can Bowser can do and sort of like with paildramon having it's own digivolution line but different and except DNA digivolution for this digimon and even rivaling the powerful digimon including to the likes of omnimon and this digimon was once a member of the royale knights but was exiled then became the king of his own group known as the bird digimon mafia sense Frank feathers has a Mafia group of his own known as the chicken mafia and also like Frank feathers, this digimon also met another exiled royale knight digimon but a female royale knight digimon who has become a queen royale knight of her own gang of digimon assassins (she'll be based off of and/or looks like the seregios too + some of Lute from hazbin hotel + bit of yang xiao long from rwby but with the dragon and her gun gauntlets and this image you can find on Google please and thank you (Art and creation by Liv) Rose Reborn: Dragon yang attacks ascended Ruby on reddit borrowing the dragon and the gun gauntlets + nearly some of shiny mega charizard x with the wings, tail flame and the two flames on each sides on it's mouth too and like from one of ethobot's YouTube videos one of those being called 7 secrets about Frank in Minecraft sandra's mother who was the assassin who fell in love with Frank feathers died when having Sandra this happened to Frank's digimon partners' wife too when they have their own daughter that will officially be Sandra's own digimon partner and frank's digimon partners' moves will officially be slice scorch spin fist barrage, nature incinerating whip talons and counter flame swoop blast in his second/fury mode (SORT of in reference of like paildramon's digivolution line but different): ultra slice scorch spin fist barrage, ultra counter flame swoop blast and his third/skeletal form/mode even rivaling SOME digimon and his moves: inferno inhale roar fire-nado and blazing scorching world punch. The zero veedramom…I think it was looks like a kangaroo a bit
Im gonna say something crazy, but that old blue greymon design… I think that color is supposed to be grey.
Also, I've always loved that old Cherrymon design, would love to see that come back as its own thing someday.
One of the gimmicks of the v tamer manga was Zero and Taichi having a 100% win ratio, so in addition to the design being more heroic, making him more scrappy and battle damaged would probably be borderline out of character.
I prefer Veedramon Zero to be a variant of Veedramon instead of being just Zeromaru, since both lines even though go to Mega in the same way, when they go beyond differs with regular Veedramon becoming UlforceVeedramon X-Antibody and Veedramon Zero becoming UlforceVeedramon Future Mode, a mode change that regular UlforceVeedramon doesn't have.
Also their designs are slightly different to be acceptable as a variant.

Yeah, the Veedramon line always turned me off, but the Tenya art is much nicer.

If it was drawn sillier, I think GaruruGreymon could be a good visual gag. A character tries to describe Greymon and Garurumon fusing to someone who's never seen it, so they imagine the two getting stacked on top of each other.
I'd describe these more as 'prototypes' than variants. Maybe in Omnimon's case, interpretations? xD
I actually have a different take (maybe a hot one) on the art styles. I have always loved the scrappy looking designs more than the mordernised, sleek, flawless styles they make today. They have always felt somewhat kidified to me, and the angles seem flatter?
Maybe as a child, I associated the dotted sprites and scrappy art with digimon; they were very definitive of digimon for me! But almost every other digimon fan I come across says it doesn't really bother them. Does anyone else feel this way?
My head canon about Machinedramon are in Digimon World 1 version its Analogman's Machinedramon while the black head are naturally created by Digital World based on Analogman's Machinedramon data

15:40 the girl that's with the other concept art is beta Monzaemon. She was replaced because they thought boys having a girl as a pet would be weird (tho I assume that didn't last long given what fem digimon designs later became). But yea it's also joked about that being what Monzaemons "true form" inside the bear suit is, which is referenced in ReDigitized with Lili dressing as a Monzaemon to fight.
