  1. Amelia’s Earhart’s disappearance has the most ‘emotional resonance’ I enjoyed the Star Trek Voyager Episode The 37s in which they explored the theory that she was abducted by aliens. It turned out she was, according to that episode

  2. Honorable mention Antoine Saint Exupéry the writer of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) was in World War 2 in 1944 his planes desapeared, or at least never was found. This goes too to the lost civilian people hope their families could fin them!!!

  4. I was just watching that Golden Girls episode when they go to that dance hall that had a live band that played big band music. Dorothy was all excited at how awesome the place was but Blanche says "Yeah but just wait till they all realize Glenn Miller's really dead". Dorothy snaps back "He's not dead, he's missing!" She later claimed to have been in the search party too 😆

  5. When Jimmy Hoffa disappeared in 1975, my family lived in Bloomfield Hills and my Dad was working in Labor Relations for the Michigan Education Association. I don't remember if they met, but they knew some of the same people. My Dad once drove us past the Machus Red Fox Restaurant to show us the parking lot where he was last seen.
