I was stationed in Germany from 03 to 06 and would go to the schwimmbads during the summer where I saw the young local Germans diving from the 10 meter looking like they were intentionally trying to belly flop then breaking the water with barely a splash which led us to of course try it out because if these kids could do it it would no doubt be a piece of cake for some 20 something, finely tuned instruments of uncle Sam. We were mistaken.
I haven't watched yet, but I'm betting the Central Asian sport of buzkashi is in the list somewhere. And there it is as #7 with an alternate name – kok-boru!
They could at least let the camels get it on after forcing them to wrestle

Happy SA made the list twice. Bokdrol spoeg is actually very popular in South Africa. Especially at our festivals in the Karoo area. Growing up in SA it is something farm kids learn to do. It is basicly tradition. I am pretty only OK at it. Reaching just over 2 meters 🙂 also Kudu poop, like elephant dung is harmless.
I'm from Germany and the wok racing was an event organized by a comedy show. The host had a bet on another show and offered to slide down a track in a wok if he would lose the bet. He won but took the wok to the track anyway. Was a huge success on TV, so they commercialiced it, got some better known people from tv and Sports and made it a yearly event. They stopped in 2015.
Camel "Wrestling" is just camel fighting; their protection doesn't cover their legs, shoulders or necks so they can absolutely get badly hurt.
I got to say I'm kind of disappointed with camel wrestling. I thought it would be a human trying to wrestle a camel to the ground you know like steer wrestling. But two camels fighting that's just cruel.
Having birds in THE AIR is now abuse. Well, Yeah better to cage 'em.
