As this list will show, the sixth console generation was a great time to be a fan of traditional RPGs. When some of the titles that didnāt even make the top ten include the likes of Fable and Kingdom Hearts II, you just know that we have to be talking about some high quality stuff. Oh and sorry Nintendo fans! We gave the GameCube all due consideration but Metacritic reckons that none of its games are top ten material. Here are the 10 Best-Reviewed PS2, Xbox, And Dreamcast RPGs!

KOTOR doesn't need remaking, it's KOTOR 2 that would benefit from some 'fixing' and 'finishing' so we can enjoy as it should have been
I haven't watched it yet but if jade empire and Morrowind don't make it your list is wrong

The only real RPGs in that list are jade empire & kotor(not surprising since bioware makes the best games & best RPGs ever made just like with bethesda)weeaboo ārpgāarenāt real rpg(Japanese developers donāt know what a rpg is & they didnāt invented it)plus youāre right about the remake of kotor being unnecessary & kotor is very easy to find plus thereās mobile versions of it & kotor 2(plus playstation fangirls donāt deserve to have kotor let alone have it as an exclusive,those hypocritical thieves want to steal everything from Xbox since playstation is an outdated piece of s**t)these are facts.
The Dreamcast was an excellent console just because you didn't like it, doesn't make it a lesser console some grate games on there also when one part broke you could replace it unlike other consoles

Good point about the voice acting (despite being quite widely disliked and unsuccessful myself) I have final fantasy X in a compilation pack for ps4, and you can't change the voice-over language … you HAVE to have it in Yankee American … and it is INSUFFERABLE !!! Yee hee …
I still play both kotor mobile ports to this day, Iām just amazed I can play it on my phone

So many great games on this list. I loved Jade Empire, still bust it out ever couple of years. Dragon Quest 8, Final Fantasy XII, FFX. Truly epic.
If Skies of Arcadia isn't here, we're going to have words. Also hoping for Vagrant Story!
If you've never played it, SoA is so worth it. It is the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time. The random battles are brutally regular on DC though, as Peter points out.
