  1. Fun fact: Jack was the only legitimate threat in the Shining. The naked old lady? Hurt no one. The creepy twins? Harmless. The bloody elevator? Completely powerless. Literally nothing was a threat except Jack.

  2. So glad to see Courteney Cox’s scene here. The part where she runs down the corridor trying multiple locked doors before she finally finds an open one was brilliantly executed. Cox was incredible in Scream 2.

    Scream 3, not so much.

  3. I also loved the chase sequences in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2," especially when Leatherface chases Stretch through the tunnels. I was literally on the edge of the couch screaming at her to RUN, RUN, RUN! It was so intense!

  4. How about any number of chase scenes in The Hidden (1987)? With perhaps the most chases in any film out there, Jack Shoulder's magnum opus, the thrill kill alien that possesses a person until the body is useless movie, is rife with great candidates for this list. The opening chase scene alone is worth it's weight in gold for the sheer audacity of it all. I mean the guy that we later learn is being controlled by a slug like alien, is tearassing through the streets of L.A. in a Ferrari, bumping Shok Paris' On Your Feet and running over multiple people in its path. Oh yeah, one of those people is in a wheelchair at the time. That couldn't have been on here?

  5. Prom Night is one of my favorites!! One of the very few horror movies that made me cry…I thought Jamie Lee Curtis's character realizing she brutally injured her baby brother was heart wrenching…

  6. The opening scene in The Thing with the dog. Arnie escaping over the waterfall in Predator. The Engineer chasing Kirsty down the corridor of hell in the original Hellraiser.

  7. You missed the best chase in horror history!! Although it was the killer being chased, the speedboat chase from Amsterdamned is legendary. Pleasantly surprised to see the great Prom Night chase make the cut given how much some of you guys hate on it 🙂

  8. I wouldn't need to do it since my wife is smart enough not to risk her life for a random kid, but if she did it would be proof she has no survival instincts and would make it fairly easy to leave.

  9. Although the weight would have still killed her, the blade would have been harmless on the chainsaw since no one was controlling the throttle so the blade wouldn't be moving.
