1st March 1942 – the Clemson class destroyer USS Edsall is underway toward the last-known position of the oiler, USS Pecos. But as shells begin to splash in the water around her, the captain of the Edsall comes to a stark realisation. He has accidentally run into the entire Kido Butai, the Imperial Japanese Navy’s elite carrier striking force. Edsall must flee under heavy fire from Japanese battleships and cruisers.

The Fact it took that much effort from Japans most Elite Force to sink one Destroyer is just embarrassing. As a Warrior I'm actually ashamed of them, I mean DAMN how bad are you at your Job 🤦♂️

A lot of the WW2 wartime Australian History features captured Sailors ,soldiers, Merchantmen , Nurses and Catholic Missionaries( Men and Mostly women) all across the Dutch east Indies or Indonesia , New Guinea being executed if they survived their ships sinking. Nurse Bullwinkle is one such episode that she survived amongst a massacre on a Beach.

Lt. Nix played the card's dealt to him and his ship brilliantly, but the odds were definitely too high. The United States Navy lost a good destroyer commander that day. Why they have not named a ship after him I do not know.
It's an action very much in keeping with the US Navy Tradition, with John Paul Jones's "I have not yet begun to fight" and Farragut's 'Damn the torpedoes! Full Speed Ahead!" lying behind him, could he have done any less.
But it's very much of the time, outnumbered Australian troops in Timor responded to Japanese calls they surrender with "Surrender? Surrender be ******!" and managed to tie down a full division for almost a year before being forced to evacuate.
These men were absolute heroes. All naval crews in the West need to learn about their struggle and heroism against darkness.
This is one of the many reasons Imperial Japan got glassed. Fucking peacemongers won't care though.

An old girl with outdated gear & an earlier injury looks for a fellow rescuer who’s long since deceased. She accidentally comes across a small mob of enemies made up of elite warriors in their prime armed with the latest & best gear. She tries to run, but knows escape is a fool’s hope. But her fighting spirit is still so strong that it takes 4 bigger & stronger opponents, plus a swarm of flyers, to finally get a chance to land a few hits. She then turns toward her enemy and charges, before finally receiving mortal wounds. Tho she’s decapitated in the end, she knows that she made a fool of her enemies in her last hours of life, and forced them to waste precious time & resources that could’ve been used in her comrades.
