  1. "Sneaked" a Felidar Soverigne victory, might also have been that I had Mirri Weatherlight Duelist on the board and no one could attack with more than one creature 0:)
The table did NOT enjoy it. It was my first time playing the deck, and I built it in memory of our dog who had just passed away (Rin and Seri deck). Never touched it again as I didn't want to tarnish the 100% victory rate

  2. Ajani Mentor ultimate would be better if it said "you gain 1 life 100 times"
At least then any triggers that are each life gain would activate 100 times. Hell even 20 times would basically make a lot of your board 20/20s if you're playing life gain triggers

  3. There are several green instants and sorceries that gain 8 life, but the only one I know of that's really castable is Life Goes On, and that has a condition attached to gaining the full 8 life.

  4. My favorite thing about Kitchen Finks is that before “Abzan,” the GWB color combination was called “junk.” That’s because you just threw a bunch of good cards in a deck…”including the Kitchen Finks.” 😂

  5. Getting redundant with the comments here, but believe me, I've tried with Tatyova. She won't fit into a standard Merfolk deck…eh, maybe with Vial, but then she'll only rarely get down (T6 at absolute fastest, and the Vial is pretty much useless for anything other than her). You need ramp and protect-the-queen tech. I'm thinking some kind of multiple-Landfall deck. Working on it… 🙂

  6. So stoked you made this video! I asked for it too! I've come up with some weird tech. The example I gave in the super chat, Sun Droplet + cleric class is insane in commander. A heal trigger on each upkeep to activate oloro, well of lost dreams, crested sunmare, regal blood lord, regna the redeemer and all of the when you gain life effects. On top of that, your opponents will have to do 4 damage each round to even break even with your life point. With cleric class, that becomes 8. The deck has all 3 hp+ effects, so with all 3, your opponents will have to deal a whopping 16 damage a turn just to break even! And it does not serve them because with all those counters, you will be able to gain life each and every upkeep till the end of the match! Not to mention spawning creatures at every single end step because you gained 1 life during the turn, which also activates many of my cards. As you said, I wish there was more redundant cards for this archtype. I tend to get dead spots in my deck even with tons of ramp and draw power. I'm sure 2023 will be the year of life gain!

  7. (47:23, 55:51) That is an infinite life combo right there, actually. Nomads en-Kor lets you target Daru Spiritualist any number of times with its 0-mana ability to pump up Daru's toughness, and then you sacrifice Daru to Starlit Sanctum to gain a mondo amount of life. (Starlit Sanctum is the actual lifegain card here. It's a land that lets you sacrifice a cleric to gain life equal to its toughness.)

  8. livegain is easy combo to pull off but their so many cards where you can't gain life if someone has one of those cards no more gain life in tell you get rid of it
