  1. It is a bit complicated because the players during Beta did not really care about their gold and were buying anything for any price while they might be more calculated during the full release of the game. But i do not disagree with the fact that the players will be in a rush for progress and that they will pay a hefty price for anything that they might consider useful. I am personally going to level up Engineering as fast as possible to sell better tools since higher engineering gives better stats to the same tools.

  2. I am sorry for the second post but i just thought about it when i saw the idea with the houses that you presented in this video for leveling up the character as fast as possible.. And that is to focus instead on gathering resources by setting up the house at Everfall and the Return Point at First Light so that the player could easily go at First Light to gather resources then switch whenever with Everfall in case that Everfall itself might be overpopulated for gathering resources ( especially Iron ).

  3. Just be mindful with selling green weapons and such. In Betas people will use their money more 'cause they know all data will be wiped. The economy will change as pople play more seriously

  4. Also remember that just because you sold a 100 of something for decent gold, does not mean you can sell 200 just as easily. Branch out, there is a saturation limit to the market. That saturation will be much, much higher for consumables than for one-time purchases like tools. Don't make 10k of each tools and expect to sell them all at the same price. If you're making tools, sell only a few of them at once, then fill that waiting time for the next price drop by selling fast-moving consumables.

Some crafted items will make money, but something being a good levelling method will instantly devalue crafted items, so be aware to stay out of the meta levelling method's path if you want to make gold. People pay more for items that you have to go out of your way to get, and if you're selling items from the fast-track to a higher level, it's going to lose you money quickly.

That's why perks are GREAT. Perks are not guaranteed, and you have to kind of go out of your way to make them, they're not part of the fast levelling trade skills consideration at all. They cost extra to make, so they are and will stay more expensive than their base counterparts. Sure, sell the tools you make that you don't need anymore when you level, but try to get perks on them instead for moneymaking.

Same goes for things that people don't need levels to make, such as ammo in the beginning. This is going to drop FAST. People are just going to make their own with little effort because the trading post is only 20-30 seconds away from the crafting station, so they can just use the basic resources they gather while levelling to make it. Instead, push for the levels required for tier 3 stuff early. Now you've created a wedge between yourself and powerlevellers, which means they'll rely on you to supply them with what they need.

  6. I'm a huge crafter, and I have no plans to PVP at all. I played FF11 18 years ago when it first came out in 2003 on PS2, and FF14 for 8 years when it came out in 1.0 closed/open beta in 2010, and made millions crafting. I even bought a new Razer gaming laptop to play this game. I remember Guild Wars 2 had buy orders. Does the Trader's Post automatically fill the orders for you when the item is posted, or do you and I have to look specifically for the Buy Orders and manually choose to fill them ourselves? Please explain sell orders as well?

  7. Sitting in que at the moment, watching some videos on the game I am waiting to play. Launch Is one big wait for most players at the moment, I thought we might have a 2 hour wait or so, but its looking like 3 or more at this stage.
