0 Luck vs 3100 Luck, 61 Hours of Luck Stat testing in New World. Data from 1103 Elites.

Conclusions: (Please do keep in mind that while I did my best to get as big of a sample size as possible, it is still possible for the number differences to be due to Variance/RNG)

Conclusion 1: You CAN still get legendary if you have maxed Watermark even with 0 Luck gear.(Know for certain)
Conclusion 2: Luck is helpful for getting rarer loot and possibly more loot?.(First part was confirmed by a dev blog 1 hour after publishing this, but 2nd part might be due to variance/other factors)
Conclusion 3: While luck is helpful, it’s not as impactful as I expected. So if you can’t get luck on certain slots, don’t sweat it. (According to the numbers, the luck increase was far less significant compared to other games with similar systems)

Note: I used some of the recorded data from my Fay farming used in the previous video as well, since I recorded my luck stat at the time too.

  1. And now, I can't help but wonder if the biggest difference is between 0 luck and lets say, one pearl worth of luck. (zero and non-zero)

That aside, I had to delete and rewrite the bit where I gush over the dedication you put into your work a few times over now. Thanks for all the hard work, sir.
