It would be suicide for China to try and take Taiwan by force. Even if they have the entirety of Western Media defending them as they do it (and you know they won't do for Taiwan what they're doing for Ukraine), even the most brainwashed normie hates any country that invades or instigates war with another.

About the Chinese methods for breaking up protest, I remember a video describing one of them – one of the protesters had their Covid status flipped to "positive" for a day, which resulted in him getting put in a quarantine (until it un-flipped a day later) and miss the day of the protest.

For that protest you'll probably find the 'white shirts' were triads. Just like in Hong Kong's protests, the triads worked in concert with the police, and the police even pretended to have no knowledge or to have even seen the 'white shirts' despite numerous photos and videos showing otherwise.
good video but I have to disagree with the Germans reason for Lebensraum bring due to the need to appropriate. While that is probably a factor this could not be the main reason, as if it were, the German government would have stated their goals as territorial expansion west into France and Britain. The west was considerably richer than the east. Also in Mein Kampf Hitler stated his wish for territorial expansion east due to ideological reasons, long before the debt accrued by the Third Reich with their industrial revitalization projects.
You know their crisis is a bigger argument in favour of an escalation of conflict with the ccp, not against. If we look at a classic example, Rome & the Roman empire.. it was unable to susstsin itself peacefully, which is why it used expansion in order to do so. Not only are you making work through conscription but you're bringing in a constant stream of resources from nations & peoples you've subjugated. The parallel with the ccp & Tibet, India, and it's plethora of other neighbours, & the ccp 'taking slices' strategy of territory is evidence. Also, of course, you've the war machine itself creating jobs & stability of a sort, from the military industrial complex out.
If anything the stabity issues in the ccp will have them looking for a unifying course, a threat to face.. And taking territory they claim is a simple step to do that. And the aim, with Taiwan for example, would be to not damage the infrastructure or physical resources there that enable the ccp to profit from trade.. as in the tec trade. As I say, history has shown more than once that these situations escalate easily towards expansionist conflict. We've been seeing its beginnings for years now. It's only a matter of time before.. I doubt anything would escalate beyond a shooting war. As that's in no one's interests. And who are you going to sell stuff to if you've nuked half the world. But there it is.
