  1. I am a night person too! I tried to change that for 40 years because of pushback from others about it not being "normal". I embraced it about 3 years ago and it's been totally freeing. My productivity at night is astounding. I can get more done in 8 dark hours than 20 light hours. I'm finally ok with being abnormal. Haha!

  2. When I'm overwhelmed (which is the norm for me) I pick one single thing, think only of that, and put everything else out of my head. The feeling of accomplishment in doing that one thing leads to me wanting to keep that feeling, do the next one thing, and so on until I'm on a major accomplishment roll.

  3. That's one of the inherent risks of shipping large boxes of stuff without much protection. It's one of the reasons I'm always hesitant to make large bulk deals online.

  4. I think you might enjoy listening to/reading the book Atomic Habits. It has really helped me with creating and sticking to positive habits. It has so much really useful and practical advice in it. In terms of organisation – I write down everything I need to do (get it out of your head and onto a page), then try to structure it in terms of importance and urgency (if it’s important and urgent, it goes to the top of the list. If it’s neither, forget about it for now). Then I look at the top few and do the thing I want to do least. Do it first. Then you can “reward yourself” by doing the things you enjoy a bit more. I also use a basic weekly diary structure to block out time for repeating tasks – e.g. if you want to go live once a week, block out the amount of time required in your diary. It means you’re more likely to stick to it rather than haphazardly trying to fit it in “some evening” every week. Gym time will be the same – best to get it done first thing in the morning, so block out an hour in your diary however many times per week you want to go. And try to be realistic about what you can do – don’t say you’ll go to the gym 5 days a week straight off because it’s unlikely you’ll stick to it in the long term.

  5. I write a list and start my doing a few small things, cross them off the list . As more gets crossed off I feel better and more accomplished. Then the overwhelming feelings dissipate . You can do this 👊✌️🙌

  6. I'm glad the box at least said fragile on it, can you imagine what they would of done if it hadn't? 🙂 Sometimes when I need to get into a rhythm, i will put the headphones and put on a certain non lyric CD, with a beat I like and it gets me going and I list all the junk I have bought that is piling up😃

  7. I also like the affect your business had on the card store, you leave town for over a month, nothings sales in the card boxes so they stop putting in new cards and mark everything 50% off, your economic impact showing through ! LOL

  8. I get overwhelmed easily, which leads to stress, which leads to migraines. My remedy is to try and make a list or break it into sections. Example- Clean/list shoes one day, clothing next day (switch it up). Take several short breaks during the day. You two are SO POSITIVE! I can't imagine there is a day that you don't make Dawn laugh lol.

  9. Watching you every day this past month was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to you continuing the daily post. You now moved above dave in my favorite list. Kevin's way down below number ten lol.

  10. It was so great to meet you and Dawn, and follow your journey across the country!! Welcome home!! Get some rest over the next few days, then get back to work!!! You can be like Kevin and tell your step daughter, your giving her a dollar to spend ,a dollar to give and and a dollar to save, then charge her for rent to recoup that!! lol🤣 Thanks you guys!!😺

  11. One thing at a time!!! If you have a lot to do, just knock out one thing at a time and don't think of the other stuff, you'll feel like you're making progress and before you know it, all caught up!

  12. Great question to ask about being overwhelmed as most everybody can relate.
I typically berate myself internally until I feel really down then I remind myself that I am my own man and nobody is going to care if I fail and that if I don't do the right things I will either lose or hurt those who count on me.
Then I work on the least desirable task first.

  13. When I'm overwhelmed I kind of take a step back and review what's the most important and do that first take my time and when I get to the less important stuff I get to it…there is only so much time in a day and there is always tomorrow. Just lighten that load one item at a time you got this man. As always love the content and keep up the awesome work 👏

  15. Just take it in little chunks. I organize into groups and then decided which pile I am most motivated to list first. I just do better with batch working…like today I will list a whole pile of plush and tomorrow bobble heads…next day cards etc….That way once I'm in the groove I can often just copy and tweak my own listing and stay more focused. You guys will get in a groove but it is only natural that it will take a couple of days.
