  1. Salam from Malaysia!, automotive student here, enrolled in a college nearby my home about 1 month ago, currently learning after sales service, will touch the engine later on 😊😁

  2. Shibuya intersection is the World’s busiest pedestrian crossing with as many as 3000 people crossing at a time. It would be almost impossible to drive around the surrounding streets as they show in the movie. But it looks great and is a fun scene.

  3. back when i was a kid it baffles me how they made an evo drifts like that..back then i was an initial d watchers and simply the evos fan in particular, knowing them being awd machine specialized in grip. but as i grew up learning how easily you can make evo into rwd(basically take out the front driveshaft, plug the hole and voila), made me raise another question. why? why do they choose evo as the hero car of a movie about drifting 😂

  4. Maybe im mixing it up with another movie. But didnt they not have permission to film here so they only got a little footage?? Even to the point of having a fake director on site to take the fall when police showed up…

  5. That's a really good point about the longer shots, nowadays during action scenes it's a constant flurry of hundreds of different snippets of shots, and like you say a "headache", those single shots that flow are awesome, especially of drifting, and to be honest they're done by YouTubers nowadays or pros like Larry Chen, so it's kinda inexcusable for Hollywood not to do the same

  6. They CGI'd the gang of people. The whole intersection is a set, if you watched BTS.

Another tv show where the Shibuya intersection is recreated (to much more accuracy) is Alice in Borderland on Netflix, where they needed a scene of a desolated Shibuya Crossing, and that's not possible to achieve on location, so a whole set was built.

The R33 has the 400 number prefix again, but that is not at all possible because of the shape of the car. The R33 scene director dropped the ball there.

  7. the Shibuya scene they remade the set because at the time they didnt have filming permits. Even if possible that area is always way to dense to block off traffic an the walkway. The drifting crossing is mostly digital like that pan shot in the background the motion blur hides it but if you look close you can see it, and besides the remade set and the practical stuff. and the scene when shaun is walking on the shibuya walkway they litrally had to follow him in japan, if I recal it was said that since they didnt have the permit they hired a fall guy to take the blame if they got caught filming which I find really funny.

  8. Damn you skipped the scene where the RX-7 slowly comes to a stop after doing the donuts. That to me is the best scene when you can see the back wheel just slowly stop and the cars body go back to center after stopping is so bad ass!
