Starship Test Flight 4K Slow Mo Supercut w/ Tracking and Incredible Audio

[[[HEADPHONES ON]]] Crank the volume on this incredible audio from the launch pad and various locations for the most powerful rocket to ever fly, Starship’s first integrated flight test with the Super Heavy booster. 4K slow motion captured on ZCam’s and BlackMagic 12K Ursa and G2 4.6K.

SpaceX finally launched the largest and most powerful rocket ever on April 20th, 2023 from Starbase, TX. Although the flight ended with an explosion due to the flight termination system being activated, the test was largely considered a success. Well, except for the damage to the launch pad…

  1. Hi Tim… Thnx for this great video. From around 7:40 min to 7:55 min in your video there is a huge plume of black smoke which seems to be being emitted from somewhere around the bottom of Starship, just above the join with the booster. What could have caused this black plume? To date nobody has commented about this….

  2. What a wonderful example of how much stupidity will be ignored just because someone has money. This was a disaster predicted from the beginning but all the teen fanboys were more than willing to risk OUR state for YOUR super hero ambitions. Musk needs to clean up the mess, put everything back the way it was and get out, never to come back.

  3. Tim, I know how I feel about this, but I also don't plan to strap myself in to one of these things in the next year or so. How are you feeling about Starship knowing that you'll be inside one in the not too distant future?

  4. Great footage. Surprised it’s better than Space X footage. Actually…I’m not. Keep drinking the Musk Kool Aid, see you on the moon. Or…somewhere over the US. Like, all over the US. 😂

  5. As you might know from other YouTube posts, digital cameras don't yet have the dynamic range that film cameras have. So those cool shots of the Saturn V and Space Shuttle engine exhaust get washed out in all the SpaceX and recent NASA shots. Also, digital camers have these strange distortions due to the sweeping nature of the shutter. On the other hand, digital photography's resolution is as good as or is even better than the best film, and digital is getting better. Finally, the tracking technology (moving the camers and the lenses) used in high end digital cameras really makes the long distance shots great. The high sensitivity of digital cameras allows smaller leneses, and smaller lenses are easier to move. I've not heard of these tracking technologies applied to film cameras, but they could be.

  6. I hope Elon will face justice to what he has done to environment in a protected nature reserve. Tim Dodd, I just want you to know, your excuse was absolutely braindead.
