Mitch Brisker joins Mark Fisher for an interview about his book Scientology-The Big Lie – How I Made an Evil Cult Look Good.
Mitch spent many years working for David Miscavige and was able to observe up close how Miscavige ran Scientology and how his abusive behaviour took shape. He eventually left and has become an outspoken critic of Miscavige, Hubbard and Scientology.

Loved the interview. Appreciate all you’re both doing. Liked subscribed and smash the notifications. ❤
Omg. “It’s not like I was just a constant junkie or something. .. “.
What the heck?
💫 Awesome 💫….👍
Great chat, guys ! ❤
Loved this interview! The people who have been in, some many of you are sincere good heartened humans. It really shows.
Loved Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood – loved how it captured 1960s SoCal… the Manson family ranch (could that be like Int Base? on drugs and swinging on immorals…) and even though reimagined ending? I could see Tarantino doing an awesome piece on justice unleashed on DM and so many of his minions…
P.S. I think you should do a video with Chris Shelton – his scientific slant combined with your historical insights (he did a fantastic video on possibilities of LRH having untreated temporal lobe epilepsy) that could be fascinating… ♡
Thank You Mark for another great interview with Mitch 👌
You two came up with great ideas for the Tik Tok squad. I too think the kids are awesome. A generation to be proud of. Lets see where this gets🙏🧡
I am subscribed to various chanels of former scientologists older and younger. You all have your own soul signature and way to go about things. I am supporting all of you I am subscribed to. Because I am an Old timer and that I left in the early 80’s I feel priviledged to be able to learn about what happened in the Church after I left as well as what was going on before I joined. This is so eye opening.
Now regarding the drama thats been taking place lately between the Aftermath foundation members and the Sp tv community I tend to agree with the fact that what most of the public wants nowadays, considering so many lies, abuses , cover ups of crimes happened and are still taking place in the Church of Scientology, is people owning to what they were responsible for when on post there. People having the honesty and humility to show accountability for the atrocious things they agreed to do. People showing vulnarability.
The destruction that occurred under their influence can not only be blamed on obeying Miscavidge’s orders or on following LRH’s irrational policies. There comes a time when one has to stand up and speak from their own heart, from their own integrity and be willing to answer the questions adressed to them personnally.
This would only be honest and fair towards themselves and the abused ones specially the under aged children who were held prisoners of the Church and who were put under atrocious situations without any ability to say no and leave.
The adult ones that knew what was taking place there with these children should stand out and show some sense of remorse .
Taking responsability for what we do is sanity. Blaming it on others is only making ourselves powerless.
Games are played on many flows : others to self, self to others, others to others, self to self. All these need to be inspected for full integrity to be restored.
Thank you 🧡🙏
Great interview with Mitch! I will just say this – I like who I like. I tend to enjoy the content that the OGs put out. If I want to watch the protestors, they have youtube channels I can go to to see what they're doing. I'm glad you aren't covering it. BFG gets flack for not talking about it either. You guys are doing different content! I'm so happy that livestreaming wasn't available during the Anonymous protests.
Everyone makes mistakes, and that applies to people and also to organizations. What you can do is to reflect on your mistakes and redo and do the right thing. Different organizations and groups have different cultures and this can create frictions with others that are different from you. The important thing is to learn from these cultures, and if you assume that most organizations and people deep down have good intentions, you have a good starting point. The hope is that it can only get better, and we probably all hope so, regardless of which group or organization we belong to.
Question. You talked about your first son movie you made about drugged. Was it made at the ccla Hollywood high ang someone house close to the m a nor in 1975? I was on the purif and was in a drug movie made at ccla. Was that you?
I worked construction in the 70s in laurel Canyon for two years. Worked behind hodinis' house.
Loved the book. Could not put it down.
Such an interesting interview! I would love to hear you to talk about old Hollywood, trivia and movie sets.
I am weary of ex-Scientologist attacking, ex Scientologist. I want Scientology to go down. That’s why I’m here.
I’m looking forward to the audio book!
