  1. To speak to penalty prep… The way to best deal with nerves is to have pre-rehearsals built in and then focus on those pre-rehearsals. It’s what athletes who have to perform fine motor skills, for example in a gymnastics routine, do to prepare. So if you practice pinging it into the top corner 1000x the chances of replicating that under pressure are higher. Kieran Trippier actually spoke about having 2 or 3 rehearsed penalties after scoring in the shootout to Colombia. Craig is just wrong that it’s meaningless

  2. Congratulations to Morocco! That is what football is all about – how to kill the boring, horrible, obsolete and anti-football tikitaka system. How could Spain and Luis Enrique stick to that system which has led them to nowhere after 2012? How many teams in the past decade have rendered that system useless? A lot of teams!

  3. Morocco has just same super stars as Spain and maybe they are even more talented then the Spanish players. Sometimes our own egos can harm us … GO MOROCCO GO LIONS ATLAS they are very hungry they left some teams to the end as a desert ummmmm

  4. The most mediocre analysis of the game so far!!!! You can expect from am american channel to give good analysis about a game they call soccer 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️They are trying to persuade us that Spain played bad !!! why don't you say that morocco is tactically stronger and knows how to manage strong teams. Very simple.

  8. Craig Burley talking absolute nonsense about penalties. No you can’t recreate the pressure of a shoot out but penalties ARE a trainable skill. You can’t control the pressure CAN control every other aspect of the process. There’s a clear correlation between goal scoring and approach, such as the amount of time between spotting the ball and starting the run up etc. Burley and Enrique are wrong!

  10. I think with penalties it's muscle memory like everything else in sports.

Train your best penalty taking technique enough into your body and it should be automation under any circumstances.

But there is still risk because a goalie can know beforehand which way you're going to put it and add onto that the extra pressure…

  11. 926 passes, 1 shot on target…
How can the Spaniards not get spanked with such mortifying attitude? It actually always surprised me that no one saw through their pitiful tactics of 2010 when their won their only World Title passing to death. They were boring their opposition and the supporters to death back then already and their coach thought he could do it again, what a fool. And this tactic was nothing new even in 2010. West Germany invented it, it has won all of its titles using the same bore to death approach. So good on Morocco for parking the bus, it is time for Spanish football to reinvent itself. The Spaniards are just too boring to watch, it is cynical football at its all time worst. "We had lots of passes we were dominant", that's where Spain fails to understand football or any team sport for that matter, passing the ball to yourself for 130 minutes does not make you the dominant team. Possession means nothing when you shoot 1 goal on target all this time. How could Enrique even defend a strategy so aimless is beyond me.

  12. Luis enriquez, xavi only know how to play one way the cryuff way, trying to pass teams to death,at the end if teams dont change itup you become extremely predicatable not too mention they over hype pedri/gavi. they are average at best instead of taking experience players they went with them with no creativity, thats why they are at home.

  13. I love that Scotsman man, in typical English fashion the female host is trying to suggest that Southgate did a better job at preparing England for penalties than Enrique did for Spain. No one remembers it because no one remembers England winning anything… oh wait that must be because they have not won a thing so who cares how they took penalties once in a lifetime.
