Is the Air on Planes Toxic? Cabin Pressure: The Chemical Leak Cover-up | Investigation Documentary

How healthy is the air you breathe in airplanes? There have long been claims that cabin air contaminated by engine oil is putting at risk the health of millions of passengers every year. This air often comes directly from the engines, where it is heated and compressed. In the event of an oil leak, potentially toxic chemicals can enter the plane’s air supply. Many pilots and air stewards claim their health has been seriously affected by these leaks. Some have been left unable to work for years. But the airlines deny there is a problem. We investigate aerotoxic syndrome.

  1. What the heck did these people inhale? For them to have brain damage, something definitely happened to them. For the airlines to ignore them is really irresponsible.

  2. It has been known for decades however the manufacturers and airlines deny the fact. One of the worst is the BA 146 with hundreds of cases around the world. Like with everything else, companies will not let the health of its crews and passengers get in the way of making profits.

  3. Surely it’s possible to install a sensitive detector which can sense toxic chemicals in the cabin? Otherwise we will get the negative test results which occurred here. Costs cannot be a problem, considering the costs of the problem as a whole

  4. I had already decided not to partake in air travel, after discovering the association between air travel and human and organ trafficking. There's also the issue of air plane fuel causing destruction to the ozone layer and the release of toxic chemicals into the already toxified atmosphere. However, after watching this video I am absolutely determined to never fly again. The creator did not make humans with wings. Mankind wants to live outside of their purpose, outside of the intentions of the creator. So naturally chaos, disorder and destruction are going to occur.

  5. In every flight I have been I smell fumes just when the engines and air circulation system starts, before takeoff.
I lasts about around 30 seconds. I try to breath under my shirt at that time.

  6. Anyone know if protective mask with filter FFP3 can help to limit this contamination? I'm asking seriously, as I smell something strange very often , on a plane of course,.

  7. I've just taken my fgas course about gasses inside heat pumps and air conditioning divining units, fridges and freezers. You should buy an oxygen monitor to use on planes. It tells you when levels are dangerously low

  8. Lawsuits will stay there for ages my idea is for all crew members to stop reporting to duty until the airline fix the issue of course working with the manufacturer now I get the right answer why I was so sick on my last months operating for a major middle East airline always calling my mom complaining of a severe headache luckily I didn't work there that long only 2 years I feel so sorry for those who lost their lives or the ones who are suffering on a daily basis so sad 😔
