  1. Since Rebecca's Redemption is my favorite Sodor episode, then this episode is my favorite International-based one. This is how you give a female character the main spotlight without wasting it (take notes Mattel). I really love how you and Adam fleshed out more of Ashima's character and made her the true spotlight with a lot of real history added to give her more potential. In a way, this reminds me a lot of Thomas & the Railtours with every visiting engine being the main focus. I am also amazed of her backstory during her early days on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway to how she partook in the Great Railway Show and how she became widely known by many as the 'Hero of the Mountains'.

Also, I do spy a RWS picture of Mountain Engines on a billboard in one shot.

  2. Amazing work as always man, I love the way you portray BWBA in how it should have been. I'm sorry that YouTube took down this video. Do you have any plans to add a swear word to the front of your videos going forward so YouTube doesn't take you down?

  3. The writing for Ashima and her railway in this ( plus the cultural references ) are such justice… even more so then in AEG, plus those mountain range sets are just beautiful. Mattel should be ashamed how they depicted India as a slum in BWBA. I guess they took this down cause they can't stand being shown up by content creators ( a.k.a the fans ) doing a better job then them. 10/10 another great episode!. ❤

  5. Hey man, i really loved the episode.

Although thinking of the time period of this episode and the show in general, u really think the indians would invite a british steam engine right after they got their freedom?

  6. This has to be another favourite episode from this series. Hearing how Ashima took part in the shunting challenge to seeing her in a different livery gets huge ticks from me.

  7. It’s great to get a ‘Yong Bao and the Tiger’ sequel story for Ashima (that shows her backstory)! This video really makes me want to do research on the Nilgri Mountain Railway (I’ve already done some research on it already)!

  8. Well, bud, first off, it's good to see Hero of the Mountains back up on YouTube after it was taken down. Second, it's still a great episode you put together with Thomas still in India visiting Ashima on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway and it was cool on how you and Adam put together Ashima's backstory with how she was involved in an accident up on the mountain past Coonoor station and after that, she was out of service, which led to the events of the Great Railway Show. Also, bud, I don't know if you'll reply to this question or not, but do you know if you'll put your Change of Pace video back on YouTube or not? All-in-all, in the end, this was another great episode you put together for Tracks to Big Adventures and I look forward to seeing what you have planned next, so until then, keep up the great work, bud!

  9. My engine basis is a USRA s160 and since they were exported everywhere so I could probably follow Thomas as a backup engine to bring spare parts and take the train so the trains could be on time

  10. Sorry to hear that YouTube was being difficult. Kinda saw the edit made regarding Edward's warning. You just can't win with these lizard-brained "admins", can you?

I'm happy to see Ashima get a much needed backstory. She actually feels like a character.

One little nitpick was seeing an African elephant in India

  11. As I've said in the previous upload:

I like how Ashima is given backstory and depth in this story, weaving it perfectly with The Great Race. More importantly, you've managed to capture the look and feel of the Nilgiri Mountain Railway.
This is the type of respect to real railways that I believe even Awdry would admire. A job well done to all!

  12. It’s honestly weird to see Thomas with a cow catcher and a lamp in front of his funnel like the Flying Scotsman when he came to tour the USA (With the exception of an American chime whistle and a bell like on Scotsman) but it’s pretty unique to see on him nonetheless Plus it’s neat to see Ashima’s backstory before she meets Thomas on Sodor for the Great Railway show.

  13. This was great, man. How do you make your video so smooth and astheticly similar to the CGI? It's amazing. The voice actors did an amazing job. If there is one thing, I wish Ashima actually did have more to do with being Hero of the Mountain, like saving someone to justify her title a bit more and to make her less of a damsel in distress, but it doesn't kill the story for me. See you next time!
