  1. It feels like the best minds in the world are now working on tools nobody asked for to create fake photos and fake videos, which is the last thing we need. I know I sound like a luddite, but it would be great if those brains were unleashed on a real problem, like terrorism, catastrophic climate change, war, pollution, education, you name it.

  2. One of the problems that Google has been known for is that fact that their cellphone reception really SUCKS. Their microphone as in speaker phone really SUCKS. Actually, Google does do a fine job for cameras, my wife has had 2 googles, but as far as a phone is concerned, they are literally the WORST. How much better is the camera, my experience with 2 different Pixels is that, it just isn't worth it. This is actually a VERY well known problem, I wonder why you don't mention it?

  3. You guys are just so fun to watch! But I have a bit of a concern about the rollout of the Pixel 9 Pro here in Australia. It seems that only the ProXL version will be sold with 1TB storage. The smaller Pro will cap out at 512MB. What's up with that? Don't people who like smaller phones take as many hours of video as big handed people?

  4. Sees a photo, wow that place is so beautiful, I'm so motivated to visit and experience it myself.

Goes there Oh, it was mostly AI manipulated fakery…. Further pursues a REAL experience. Do we really want to further degrade the reliability of photographs?

  5. There is no "artform" between photography and AI. Everything you showed about the AI features on this phone might suit the typical phone user but as a legitimate photographer I shudder at the idea that we would implement these into real world photography.

  6. I don't know, I have never been a big fan of fake photos, as in if it didn't really happen then it doesn't have the same feel to me. Taking multiple photos and choosing the best is different though.

  7. 2:18 It might be brighter, but how does the device temperature feel? I know my Pixel 8 Pro gets incredibly hot when the screen is at peak brightness for more than 30 seconds, especially when I direct sunlight.

  8. I have the pixel 8 pro because I wanted to go back from Apple to android. I literally NEVER use the AI functions. The camera enhances the pics i take automatically and its pretty annoying. The AI features take ages to load and are pretty useless. So basically the pixel phones are outdated, because the processor is outdated and slow. The battery is also really bad.

  9. Did people forget that photosphere was the new panaroma mode???? It had a multitude of different ways to capture a scene, it captured photos with hdr+ (although lower resolution than the main camera mode). The biggest difference i forsee is that we may be able to get full 12mp photos on each snap, and shoot in nightsight with it as well.

I do wish they would have just worked on and improved photosphere. it was one of my favorite features on the pixel lineup
