  1. Oh! Hey! I am in this game!

To explain… the programmers at Bioware slipped the names of people they new into the game. NPC names, names mentioned at the bottom of messages to other people, names in the background… anywhere they needed random names, they often used people they knew. I am an acquaintance of many of the people who started the company.

  2. OMG as soon as I saw this pop on my list I needed to see the reaction to the opening. BY FAR the best opening of a game I've ever played. Strap in for a beatiful ride, I'll try to follow your progress ❤

  3. “Is she even human” yeah because a human can stand and fire and be fine a human can take multiple shots to the head and be fine a human can have a fully metal body if you can’t byell the difference between a human and a si then somethings wrong with you

  4. Have you seen the trailers for this game? if not, I highly recommend a reaction video before continuing, they are all basically an outside view of what you played here, with reapers arriving and no one knowing what is going on, since Shepard was marginalized and branded a nutter for last three years.

  5. Helpful clue, do the Horizon mission first, it is absolutely essential. Side missions will disappear if you do the priority missions before them, some characters will not be available to talk to/interact with. Priority Tuchanka is an example, make sure to do any and all side missions before embarking on this. All of the survivors from ME2 will be available to talk to/interact with, unless you skip side missions in favour of priority missions.

  6. I like how she went through the whole intro without using powers at all. Incinerate is also possibly one of THE most useful powers in the game. Its essential against the reaper brutes. Damage > Burning > Armor is usually what I go with for evolutions 4, 5, and 6. That'll MELT anything with armor and is fantastic with combo primed detonations against banshees. Power Damage & Duration in Operational Mastery also stacks with Incinerate, making it more powerful. What's most important is having fun though, ofc ^^

  7. it really tells the story about how much shit just hit the fan. but i like that from a story perspective. it sets the mood really well and shows what they are up against. from here its downhill all the way. prepare yourself for a the hardest journey.

  8. Liera, I would have picked soldier, just because in ME 3 you get so many weapons and some of them are just awesome. With an infiltrator you cannot use all of them. Try it out on another playthrough and you will see. This game is replayable like any number of times anyway, but I guess you already know that by now 🙂 Oh…. and I also wanted to say that is allways so nice to see a girl gamer, and when she's so pretty it's even better. You only expect those gicky or nurdy like looking girls doing it. No offence intended to them, just an observation 😀 😀

  9. I enjoy the thoughtfulness you put into editing such as moving your webcam when you feel it might be blocking important info 🙂 just a side note: I think it's better if subtitles are left off. This is because as humans we naturally read ahead and sometimes it can ever so slightly prematurely spoil things for us especially in cutscenes. Just my two cents, hope you have fun!

  10. To this day one of my absolute favorite game intros. Leaves you feeling rather hopeless and empty. They throw you right into the fire… no waiting, no prep, just BAM, hit hard by the Reapers. That haunting piano theme softly lilting above the chaos and destruction. They did a really good job with this one. You're in for a hell of a ride.

I always forget how LONG the opening Mars Archives mission is. Feels like 3 or 4 missions all rolled into one. Great way to spend time with a couple of characters going over events of previous games relationship wise.

  11. Watching you go through this game, there's a common thread through most of science fiction, fantasy, games, movies, etc… we humans may not be the smartest, the strongest, the most advanced… but what we lack in any other area we MORE than make up for in pure, boneheaded stubbornness. We just don't back down, we don't quit.

  12. I was recommended this video by YouTube. As a fan (nerd) of Mass Effect since the first one came out in 2007, I am delighted watching you play the games as a new comer. I have subscribed to follow your journey through ME and future content.

For what it is worth, that opening is still as strong 10 years later as it was the first time in 2012.

  13. While Anderson and Hackett are both admirals, Hackett has seniority. after the battle of the citadel in mass effect one, Hackett is made the head of the Alliance navy. Any orders he gives take priority over any other orders provided by other admirals.

Effectively Hackett is a Grand admiral / Admiral of the fleet, the rest are just regular admirals
