  1. Note: it is now known from archives opening that agreements were made for the partition of Poland. This does not change much of his points, but does reflect Germany also being along for Stalin's Ride. Prudentialist has been doing some excellent streams on this area lately.

  2. Nicolle’s poorest arguments in these streams seem to be on the topic of Eastern Europe. No doubt due to a lack of primary sources from the region forcing him to use sources no doubt containing either Allied or German propaganda.

  3. Very interesting series. I'd love a follow up Cigar Stream discussing, perhaps with 1+ expert guest(s), your thoughts on this telling of history, things you learnt and matters you disagree with the author on significantly.
    Cheers!
Looking forward to a series on Foundations by Wormser 😁

  4. The Russian Boot is identifiable. It is easy to see. It can be pointed out. Eastern Europe liberated themselves from this Enemy.
The Western Europeans still think the American boot is their Friend. They love the American Boot and will bind their own feet to fit the Boot.

  5. AA, thank you for yet another excellent CS on this topic.

I would be most glad to hear your take on where you see Peter Hitchens' stance on WWII (primarily laid out in The Phoney Victory) fitting in with Nichols' views, and how he falls for/resists the boomer truth on this whole topic in general. Cheers!

  6. This is the first time I'm questioning if a certain mid century event didn't happen. I find it improbable that it didn't, but it's certainly possible that it didn't. Am I being naive?

  7. Really enjoying this book AA. I agree with you that this chapter has been the best so far by a wide margin. I'm hoping further chapters will specifically shine a light on the crimes committed by America in their half of post war europe, and especially in Germany, rather then continuing to have such a heavy focus on the soviets. Looking forward to the next episode!

  8. Amazing chapter. Norman Davies "rising '44" gives a sharp focus on Poland's story. Similar riffs as from these and Pru's recent streams. Stalin out maneuvering his "allies", the dark sitcom of lies throughout and especially the details from the Soviet archives – even, ironically, where they are still closed.

  9. To see how left works:

International Committee of the Red Cross was established in 1943. to investigate Katyn / Vinnytsia massacre. One of the members was Croatian pathologist dr. Ljudevit Jurak. Commission wrote report that Soviets massacred Polish officers as we all now know.

In 1945. Jurak was arrested by Yugoslav Communists at orders of NKVD. He stood at communist court in Yugoslavia and was founded guilty of war crime because he "attributed the Katyn massacre to friendly Soviet Russia" and that he "deliberately and maliciously spread propaganda against friendly Soviet Russia".

He was sentenced to death by firing squad, lose of citizen honour and confiscation of all private property. He was shot in June 1945.

Jurak was university professor, wasn't political. He was rehabilitated in 1991. in democratic Croatia after the fall of communism.

That is left. This is how they operate.
