China Built the World's LARGEST Non-nuclear Submarine – What On Earth For?

In 2012, the Chinese Navy commissioned the biggest conventional submarine in the world, the Type 032. Why was it built? What is its purpose?

One has to be careful with these "war game" results…..
The Eurofighter also "defeated" the F-22 in exercises, but the Eurofighter has almost certainly no chance against the F-22 in a real fight….🥸

  2. The days of the submarine being undetectable are over.

Modern day satellites can see and track whales deep in the sea. They can even map the ocean floors and monitor the tectonic plates under the sea.

They even see deep inside of the Earth's core.

As a matter of they can even see deep inside the planet Jupiter and the Sun's core

There is nowhere where a submarine can hide on this earth that modern day satellites cannot see or track with all sorts of infrared technology and sensors.

The issue here most countries with these satellites don't tell anyone that track other countries submarines.

  3. Maybe they used common sense instead of western procurement acquisition decisions based on contractor promises. Look at how many cost schedule performance disappointments in major acquisitions the last 10 years including the Ford aircraft carrier, Littoral Combat ship, F35 and more. Proving out new technologies on a platform designed with that purpose is just one of the things China does to get 20 times the benefit per acquisition dollar versus the US (not my ratio, that’s quoting some US general).
Western prototyping limitations & failures are seriously downplayed because the top thing that matters to the contractor and program office is to push the project forward. This includes the contractor knowingly hiding many problems for as long as possible.

  4. This confirms rumours that China can detect, track and follow ANY and ALL nuclear subs
I guess they assume other countries have this capability too soooo its safer to build non-nuclear subs.

  5. China maintains dual developments of both conventional and nuclear powered submarines. Sweden Gotland conventional sub defeated American nuclear carrier battle group with nuclear subs in coastal war games. Russian Kilo class conventional sub is known undetectable. But those are attack submarines. This submarine carries nuclear ballistic missiles with multiple reentry vehicles. Swede Gotland started a new promising concept that conventional can defeat nuclear under certain war scenario. Swede also has the Saab Jas jet that can land on freeways and thus no need overseas air bases and no need aerial refueling …

  6. What does "facilities for 50 special forces personnel" mean?

Can someone explain to me how this technology works? Is it similar to like space station tech when they want to do space walks? Like separate pressure holds, then make the air/pressure the same as the environment you want to enter into?

If that's the case, why can't every personnel on board be able to enter and exit? What's so different for special forces vs normal personnel? Or is this talking just about special forces equipment, like those handheld motors that divers can use to help them swim underwater, and how much of those types of equipment the sub can store?

  7. What was new Zealand trying to prove here??
My question is why has NZ not post a blog about their friend buying a nuclear sub frim the US. Unkess this site can argue otherwise, then they're as good another US propaganda machine.
Or NZ was trying to bring about a complain against the aussy ??

  8. 😂 Ossie you should have all your subs built by China. It's way cheaper than what the UK or US offered. They're cheating you taking Ossie for fools 😂😂😂

  9. China Built the World's LARGEST Non-nuclear Submarine, What for?
To prove that Chinese can build big to scare others.
Unlike many western countries that are prone to make loud thunder but without a drop of rain, China will go for action..
There lies the main, crucial & critical difference..
