This week I put a track together from scratch on the Push 3 in standalone and share some thoughts on how it’s improved since launch. Loading samples for drum racks is especially improved, I hope you enjoy this process and have a wonderful new year!

Thank Dylan
how you like the standalone workflow between this, the Force, MPC One and NI M+?
Cant beat the force and is 3x the price ffs who buys this
The ui looks really sweet. Very next gen/futuristic looking. For the price tho, abelton not giving the full version is kind of asinine. That’s like akai giving you mpc beats (free) for the live/force. Kind of weird they did that.
Btw, have you tried to plug this thing into an external audio interface via USB? I did that with my MPC One and Maudio AIR 192, its a world of diff. The DACs and preamps that come with most digital synth are not that great.
Looks very sleek but don't most things take more steps than the Force? For me how fast I can access sounds or features is pretty important.
Questions: is there a good sequencer and song mode on this? Can you record vocal tracks – is there a dedicated vocal track? Any effects catered to vocals like the live 2?
I want to create a kit that would allow me to jam solo by creating heavily affected drums and bass with something like the push 3 standalone, paired with a synthesizer like the sequential pro 3. In my own lack of knowledge i’m kind of imagining with a lot of practice you could play “instruments” like this in an improvised way to create live music in front of a crowd… do you think this is achievable with this device as an option?
Hey Dylan, I was thinking of you tonight and wanted to send a thought your way; I’ll be here for 2024 following your progression as a creative as you precise your brand more and more. What you present on here as a person is a worthwhile narrative imo and I’m the pickiest over that. I’m invested in your stuff and am rooting for you, I’m always waiting for those weekend posts! ❤
Sitting here like: ARM THE TRACK, ARM THE F'IN TRACK!!! xD
Tbh…I had the same issue with recording automation at 1st, and I don't know why you would need to arm the track. But that's how it is at the moment.
