Incredible race! Ingebrigtsen looked uneasy and tight the whole race. He never looked like he was running relaxed and easy. But Wightman looked awesome. Congratulations, Wightman.

Don't know who the Brit announcer is, but he does a great job. Passionate, knowledgeable, enthusiastic. His love of the sport really comes through.

for old folks: 3:29.23 for 1500m equates to a mile time of 3:45.72. (this is the std jason byrne conversion formula… methinks it's not quite exact. )
A 3:46.20 mile it equates to!!! UNREAL with that nice kick===WOW! My PR in College was a 3:57.45 indoors so I cannot fathom that type of speed and talent. What a nice upset and the Spain runners did very well with a third and fourth place. What a freaking RACE. I was a 5,000 and 10,000 meter man, so the mile was a sprint. PR's 14:01.64 & 29:33.60 respectively. NCAA All-American times two (2). At Boston in my first Marathon 2:18:16 to finish 66th in the World, and a 67th place the following year in the World in 2:20:15 in hot humid conditions. I am proud of myself, as I was an Orphan for 13 years in Hopewell, NJ, and a Foster child thrown into these abusive homes for another three years. My biological parents were disabled and handicapped being Blind (Father) mentally ill (Mother). I became a "Ward of the state" of New Jersey and running was my ultimate proactive escape!! It saved my LIFE !
