Starfield scores another dubious title for 2023. Jeez…
Here’s the latest in Starfield News!
Despite not having official creation tools for mods, it still is showing up strong in the modding community. Plus, Bethesda’s slow pace of releasing improvements and fixes comes under fire. Here’s some of my thoughts on possible travel options to speed up planet exploration, while a reddit user has found some interesting concept artwork from Starfield’s early days. Accroding to an internal Walmart memo, they will start selling physical copies for .03 by the beginning of February. I’ve also done a lot of thinking on this, and there seems to be 3 schools of “thought” when it comes to Starfield. Despite the negative reviews, Starfield hits Platinum level in every major Steam category for 2023. Along with Baldur’s Gate 3 and Howart’s, Starfield earned a boatload of cash this past year. And finally, VGChartz gives Starfield a dubious title for 2023, and it weigh in.

After getting bugs for several missions, I deleted the game. Maybe in 5 years it might be playable. Very poor and a big let down.
I put 100 hours in got to the last my Mission with one power. I hate how things are Left to you to figure out. It made me stop playing. Didn't finish at level 115 100+ hours
I wish I could say I was a don't care, but every time I watch a review that is 100% down putting to Starfield it makes me think that none of these people played a space game, that has huge flight times from jump to planet, not instant even if that means we have a load screen so what the travel time with a load screen is faster than every game I played. Better then every space game I have played. Want to sell something in Eve you better have at least 45 minutes to do nothing but fly from A to Z and hope you did not bring too much and that your quick on the jumps. Because if you're a sweet target many will happily die to kill you, because they have friends who will grab the enemy ship that was killed and likely your old ship as well, while you build a new killing machine. This is something that to me makes Starfield a 100% success. I needed to post this while I try and mellow down as I listen to your video.
Beyond Good & Evil was doing this back on PS2. Except it had a detachable hovercraft from its spaceship. Hope BG&E 2 finally comes out one day. They’ll do mothership/entry ship/landing craft seamlessly through galaxies with great gameplay, story and of course awesome music.
Why get rid of rover? Maybe because you locked in 3×3 km tile?
They say that they're mad but they're not really mad because once elder scrolls sick comes out a lot of the people that were talking all that smack are going to get real quiet. Once the remake for Oblivion comes out, people are going to get real quiet again
Tbh I discovered this game late, although before launch, I like many preordered, which is probably where the vast majority of those sales came from.
I was disappointed with what I got over what I was expecting based on what they demonstrated I didn't realise what I was watching was a cut scene and not gameplay, it was game play footage after all.
I wasn't that bothered by the older graphic look, although the locking stares and eyes were a bit odd.
I was surprised how limited it was when I jumped into water given you can swim underwater in older titles.
I couldn't be bothered to build vast outposts so I could gain xp faster at one to three xp per click, and they don't have any in game practical purpose, so I didn't need it.
I am not a creative type so the ship designs I never really bothered with except to upgrade my ship reach further out planets, though I can see why some players enjoy that.
The main quest was a little underwhelming, the faction quests a mixed bag some being a little more entertaining than others. Not convinced the freestar collective could have fought a protracted war given their shanty town city, though city might be a bit generous. I guess they were going for the firefly vibe.
The planets were largely a waste, and the ng+ just made me want to zerg the temples to max out to lvl 10, but became old fast as before then why even bother once you decide to take the step your going to lose all your stuff anyway
I got enough time in not to feel robbed but this would need a lot of work to make me return for another look.
This game has no economy. Its bold like cyberpunk 2077. The mission boards are huge letdows too. Theres like nothing to do if you dont do storylines (main and faction).
Man, Freelancer is a masterpice for its time compared to this. Starfield is a 2012 game max.

We don't have rovers because Bethesda doesn't know how to animate vehicles. If they did know how they would have done it already.
Im glad I pirated the game to try it out first, after 10 hrs I just stop playing, it's just so boring.

I'd love a rover or some sort of land vehicle. However, I'd find it sufficient to just be able to map my controller bindings to utilize the horizontal boost. Unless they've already patched it in, this feature was only available to mouse and keyboard users. Given that they for some reason love to emphasize exploration, you'd think they'd want to make the experience a bit more convenient for players on all inputs.
Just an observation, I usually do not pay any attention to achievements on Steam, but while doing some updating, I noticed the Starfield achievements percentage by the community. Aside from "join constellation" @ 87%, 20% of the achievements are in the 30% completed range and 60% are in the 9% completed range. The other 20% I have not completed so no idea. Looks like there is a real disconnect on expectations and intent of game play.

Slow paced? Its only been 4 months, people are acting like bgs aint released any updates in 4 yrs😂😂😂…… And boy, quite hating for clicks, the latest updae of it is fire, players who jave been playing with the update, are very impressed with it…… changed a lot in the game, major updates that add shit to games, take time….. Like cyberpunk took more than a yr for its first major update, took 3 yrs for getting us a little of the game that was promised…… Man, swear to god, yall just hating for clicks nowadays…… Starfield is the clout that everyone chases…… Love how people still nearly 5 monyhs later, feel the need to bitch about it…… Let mee tell yall something….. If anything is hated on for so long, it clearly is caused by envy….. Not disappointment
I've been having an incredible time with Starfield. Some people can't do more then 10 hours and I get that. But regardless its here to stay and will keep receiving official content and mods for years to come.
love this starfield BUT!!!!!!!!!!……….this main mission bug IS PISSING ME OFF!!!!!!!……..BECAUSE I CANT MOVE ON!!!!!!!……..and yes its on xbox i should had put it on PC so i can skip this stupid bug where i can get all my powers and tell me where is the next dumb temple are at
Ill put it this way it was worth the £100 i was suckered into buying the story was ok the loading screens from place to place and there is alot of it and its only doing so well in sales is because of its price of £80 £100 per unit it will be a while before i jump straight into a game of this price feet first again
And you guys do realize that Todd Howard is directly involved with the game avowed so imagine what kind of damn disaster that's going to be
I did about 40 hours and was bored most of the time. Don’t even think modders could make it fun.
