A monster truck stunt show taking place in a public square ends in tragedy when the truck ploughs through the safety barriers and into the crowd.
“The Haaksbergen monster truck accident happened on 28 September 2014 in Haaksbergen, the Netherlands, when a monster truck crashed into the attending crowd. Three visitors were reported dead, amongst them one child. According to Hans Gerritsen, the mayor of Haaksbergen, twelve people were injured.”

Did the IQ points go up in the Netherlands after the incident?
🤔I'll watch from upstairs
Me when I’m getting run over by a monster truck: “this is a cool way to die”
Who tf was like yeah this is a good idea
I feel like no one’s at fault in this, Europe is just just a whacky, ghay, and drunk place, everyone’s at fault, from the person who put it in a tiny area to the people standing in front of the truck
Another auto crash that I think should be covered in this series is the Death of F1 Driver Tom Pryce and Marshall Jansen van Vurren. The title of the video: “This Is What Happens When You Get Run Over By A Race Car.”
I thought the a Dutch were better than Monster Truckin…
Its the drivers fault entirely
He can stop the monster truck with a kill switch
(Kill sitch stops the monster trucks engine)
ALL MONSTER TRUCKS SHOULD HAVE THIS
I was gonna say, "They fined the driver for a mechanical fault that was literally out of his control, but they didn't fine the guys who told him to drive a monster truck next to the crowd?" Which is still fucked, honestly. The guy couldn't have done anything differently, really. He didn't organize the event, and the crash would've happened regardless of who was driving the truck.
25k is an insane fine for causing the deaths of 3 people
Having a scapegoat doesn’t fix anything
Aur record karo
The people in the audience share responsibility too.
As a mechanic myself, I don’t see how an open throttle prevents you from slamming on the brakes. In any car the brakes will always beat the engine but maybe monster trucks are different.
The problem was this was in the Netherlands monster trucks are only able to be driven by a real Americans. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
this incidents, not that bad, guys
IT'S MONSTER BAD.
What type of not safety barriers are those 😅
You've got to laugh at the way the victims complain that the sentences passed were not tough enough when they chose to stand in an area which was clearly a highly hazardous place to stand. I swear people think that as long as someone else is standing in front of them, whatever is heading in their direction will simply bounce off of that person and they will be fine, be it a ping pong ball or a 25 ton tank lol.
15 months for a triple kill seem kind of questionable.
This is how I want to pass away 🙏🏾
should be 15 years in jail, not 15 months…. 2 adults and a child lost their lives by "mistake"
ive always thought of this as a kid. weird that its real
A throttle getting stuck open is not that uncommon. The rug can even get jammed in the throttle and stop the spring from retracting. The driver still has the clutch, brake, and emergency brake. If you can't handle the vehicle, stay away from the wheel. He approved the venue when he drove there, if he didn't recognize driving that vehicle in those conditions was irresponsible, he is negligent.
100% the drivers fault. If he had two brain cells he would have refused.
Last Moments are my favourite category on this channel.
Yeah put the driver of the car who is techincally speaking the less guilty in 5 years of jail gor the remainder of his elder life
Oh and the people who organized and paid in short cuts for everything charhe them with a less than a quarter of their gains
Oh and have the major resign and go retire in his home wiyh all his gooda and life intact
Oh and the agency that approved or overlooked such thing don't even do anytning.
Seems to me that despite everything all the fault and punishmebt was put in the driver unfairly, he is technically innocent, not thag he is out of the problem but I cannor believe only he went to jail
You’re killing it with those Dutch pronunciations, Irishman!
I guess he couldn't Dodge them so he Rammed them!
throttles frequently get stuck on monster trucks whoever cordinated this is a pure idiot
In what world was this a good idea 🤨
I'm with those victims and their families in being shocked at how little punishment was doled out for this. The driver, the organisers and the government were all at fault and should have got jail time for this travesty. I understand there was mechanical failure involved in this incident but that doesn't excuse the fact that everyone involved decided they didn't need safety precautions more strenuous than some flimsy chest high barriers. There's a reason why monster truck shows as usually done in massive arenas where the audience is seated in very steep seats because if something like this does happen it means the audience is well out of harms way. It's bad enough that people had their lives altered over this however my heart really goes out to the family of that poor wee kid. It's sad that 2 other people lost their lives but this wee guy was just starting out his existence and it was stolen from him by some people who wanted to cut corners to save on money. It's disgusting.
A friend of mine was crushed by a jeep at a stunting event in a parking lot in Edmonton, Canada. I think about her when I pass the area, so many people miss her.
Don't blame Mario. Darwin gave 3 awards that day.
everything about this is so stupid and ignorant, the organizers, the driver and the spectators. i mean wtf do you expect from a show like this. no safety precautions whatsoever. look at monster jam, audience is nowhere near the trucks
I mean if we’re gonna just point fingers based on judgement. Does the crowd not have some responsibility to recognize an unsafe situation and leave?
LOL, and People call us Americans stupid. . . . . No, we do stupid sht, but we take safety for spectators very seriously.
Solid attempt at Nerderlands 😌
everyone in the comments accusing the organization of the event.. but no one talks about all the idiots watchers who were there! how dumb can you be to stay in a situation like that if you dont feel safe?! lol
We put too much emphasis on the word "professional" which gives attendees a false sense of security. Guy's a professional idiot. That being said, even if there was a killswitch (which there was), and the driver was on point from A to Z (which he wasn't), the area was just WAY too small. You wouldn't know anything was even wrong before you were on top of people. The organizers were the real villains here. The driver should have spoke up and said something doesn't feel right too, so in my opinion they're equally responsible. Dude should never be allowed to do stunts for the general public again, and the organizers should never be able to get permits again. Open and shut case to me.
Seems like everyone involved should be punished. Even the driver, for agreeing to such a dangerous stunt- Money isn't an excuse, being a pro means you know when to say no, know what's safe and what's not and that's what makes a pro.
Here in the US the People injured would be more likely to get punished rather than the Organizers.
Damn I still remember hearing abt it in school
Gekoloniseerd
I agree a travesty of justice as ALL those responsible for the event should have done some time. I also see a bunch of parents who should have been charged with reckless endangerment of children by attending the event with said children.
