Iowa’s Democrats will use mail-in ballots for the 2024 presidential caucus. Rita Hart, the chairwoman for the Iowa Democratic Party, joins CBS News with details on the voting process. Also, Caroline Cummings of CBS Minnesota reports on Monday’s weather impact on the political events.

  1. Democrats are smarter is why. The people she mentioned who aren't able to get to vote in person can vote by mail. Allows more people to vote. Smart! Repuklicans cut out people who want to vote,but cant get to precinct to vote in person. Lost votes.

  3. 👍👏 Mail-in ballots are less vulnerable to "bad actors" hacking results, and lends itself well to hand recounts & audits if needed. Not to mention that weather, transportation, illness, daycare, and work schedules (Etc.) are less likely to interfere with casting ballots.
    If counting doesn't start early, though, any forecast "red mirage" should be more widely publicized than it was in 2020.
