  1. Well I can’t wait for nerdslayer death of a game for Temtem I already know the four clues will be for failure

    -too much focus on pvp
    -lack of innovation
    -didn’t understand its audience l
-it wasn’t supposed to be an mmo

  2. i put almost 1500 hours into temtem but after a while you just run out of stuff to do, once you got all the tems sure you can grind for shinies but eventually you finish that too, temtem pvp was actually super balanced and it was great to log in play a few rounds between shiny hunting but even than eventually you just run out. they could easily balance it since there was only a few dozen final stage tems that could be played but that also made it repetitive, sad to see the pvp scene die out on it i could have seen it be a true competitive contender in the monster tamer space

  3. I think I might hold off a bit for Palworld since Pocketpair hasn't completed their previous game Craftopia. It kind of has me a bit concerned that Palworld may end up facing the same fate as Craftopia as remaining incomplete, while Pocketpair is working on another game.

  4. For anyone complaining about their prevous game, they havent abandonded it like most if not all developers so if you are using excuses to not check out palworld you are dumb for comparing both games, they have 2 different teams working on both games but they put their main focus on palworld until it launches

  5. Tem Tem is going to die soon unless they give some big update. Their refusal to add more monsters in a constant basis is not sustainable for a MMO. The game is okay as is for a single player game. But for a MMO, it's a death setence.

  6. What people have to realize is that sometimes games on early access stay in development for a decade lol. Project zomboid is one of the most beloved zombie survival games ever and it is no where near done being developed.

Im not saying to hold onto false hope for palworld because of this but i am saying if it looks fun and is fun, thats all that matters. Especually for 30 bucks

  7. I feel like TemTem really shout themselves in the foot. Multiple times. 1st by making a monster taming MMO and then stating they didn't intend to release new islands or TemTem, then buy focusing on the PVP side of Multi-player rather than coop and (imo more importantly here🎉) Social. Having housing, group housing, maybe even your own group dojo would havee been the ticket I think, and saying they didn't intend to really expand the game really kills a lot of the faith a lot of players have in it and hopes for continued enjoyment and new content. Which all really is a shame, because it's a good game, with good creatures, and I had a lot of hope for it (I was a kickstarter backer even) and I feel like they just fun led things a bit.

Hopefully this supposed teased update does something for it.

  8. TemTem flopped because the developers wouldn't listen to the community. I was about 8 hours into the main story when I quit because it was just a tedious grind. No way to speed up battles or even just turn off animations (devs gave an excuse that it was tied to the "in-game economy"), way too many mandatory tamers to battle on the routes, etc. These kinds of quality-of-life features are standard in modern monster-taming games, so it's a shame that the devs never made an effort to address these problems.

  9. Finally good news that temtem is dying. Deserved for such a trashy developer that doesnt listen to anything said in the community no matter how many times its been brought up. Took 4 years but well worth it

  10. On paper Temtem is my ideal monster taming game, but they had to mess it up with the MMO gimmick that only harms the game. I haven't played since they came out from early access, which is pretty sad because I can't even bother finishing the story. Hopefully I get around it before they close the servers, but it would be nice an offline option so the game isn't unplayable in the future.
