They caught WA on a bad day. When they're clicking, it's tough. But Michigan's run game….. whew.
This game was boring af
He sucks
True maturity and All class they way he handled this tough loss, Good luck n the pros bro ur destination is greatness
Notice how he did not mention the bias officiating. Holding calls for U of W, but no holding calls, pass interference calls, as well as blocks in the back for U of M. Michigan might have still won, but it would have been a lot closer.
Michael Penix Jr a class act he seized the moment and put everything on the line it’s a shame they couldn’t pull through
Yall need to stop making excuses. Michigan DOMINATED the game, Washington failed all the opportunities they had. Yall just cant accept the fact the Michigan are the champs. keep making excuses for your pathetic mindset. The University of Michigan are the National Champions of the world.
Washington's all was enough…but not enough to beat the regs, the cfp, and Disney.
Did you hear about his incident at the club after the game? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca7fhSxHFtk
Even though he was under extreme pressure if he makes throws he normally makes they are in the game. The fatal flaw is if he has bad game they are sunk. That's a lot of pressure on a player in a game of this magnitude.
Welcome to the Natty, Penix. However, you're still great. Keep ya head up!
Point shaving!!!!! Look at his first miss in the end zone. 1st quarter He checked a bag 💰
This kid is awful. Not sure why everyone was raving about him
He sounds like someone with an 8th grade education! Good luck memorizing the playbook.
😂
Atlanta wants you!!!!
I'm super proud of what Washington did, this was the best season since 1991 an one that will be mentioned for years to come I'm sure. Penix Jr is probably Seattle royalty now, he'll be getting cheered an throwing out the first pitch at Mariners games in the future I'd bet.
He'll be a star for the rest of his life here an he deserves it, he earned it.
No, they didn't win it all but they were right there, that's enough.
They were so much fun to watch this season, they did everything except one little thing. I'm over it an proud of them.
his apparent humility is refreshing, but he could have given the opponent some credit for influencing how poorly they played on offense. the UM defensive line and overall scheme devised by jesse minter made the joe moore award winners look like imposters.
Despite the loss, Penix is a champ. Solid leader.
This young man is a winner in my book! 💯
Both teams were excellent this year, but only one team could win. Penix Jr. is a great QB and has a bright future. Taking ownership of the loss is very respectable, but it wasn't all on him. Washington battled hard to keep the score close until the end, but they just couldn't stop the run when it mattered. This was simply Michigan's year.
I'm glad he knows what's up.
Looked like he put a little too much juice on that pass and it took off on him. But Penix is a heck of a football player, and he will be drafted in April and have the chance to be a great NFL quarterback.
It was a lot of "what if" moments for Washington that stood out in this game but I'm going to point out Two: #1). The 3rd down scramble by JJ McCarthy when Michigan was backed up deep in their own territory when the score was still 20-13 Michigan. The Washington defense played a "Tampa 2" where the linebackers bail out deep into pass coverage which left the middle of the field wide open for McCarthy to scramble. That was a bad defensive call at that moment against a mobile quarterback. Washington's pass defense was playing well the whole game so on that 3rd down, leave in a QB spy or tell your d line to rush with gap integrity so no lanes are open and make McCarthy beat you with his arm. #2). The missed holding call on Michigan when McCarthy completed the big play to the tight end in the 4th. Again, JJ McCarthy wasn't having a good passing game so if the holding is correctly called chances are, he doesn't make that play again, at least on that drive.
I'm not saying UW wins if those 2 instances go in their favor but the way the game was going with it being mainly a defensive battle after the 1s quarter and a game of field position, every detail makes a difference
Coming from a Michigan fan that was well said
For the people saying Michael Penix Jr is overrated, you try and play football in general let alone being against the #1 team with everyone having extremely high expectations of you with no guarding. One moment Michael Penix Jr is the best college football quarterback, then right when he lost one game that was very stressful he deserves to be at the very bottom. Every single one of you guys cant logically think. If you think he is overrated, watch the texas game then come back. He was unhealthy in this game, and so was important people like Dillon Johnson but they played through it. He deserved to play in the game, he just couldn't do it for ONE night. Just one.
Next nfl bust right there.
Am I the only one that noticed the help those ACC refs threw for the team that won ?
I'm just a college football fan had no dog or dollar on this game but …
Lots of complimentary comments from Michigan fans…that's no surprise. I was a Michigan season ticket holder for over forty years, before age decided I'm better off on the couch, and that young man stood strong against the most punishing Michigan defense I ever saw.
Sounds like a Lamar Jackson and I feel like he’s going to get hated on his whole career like Lamar Jackson I already seen some of the comments people simply don’t respect black quarterbacks of that color not Mahomes being black and not looking like it 😂
Funny how gameplans change when you get smacked in the mouth
He him!
I love this guy.
