With everything that I have been hearing about Mike McCarthy, I am led to believe if he doesn't win a Superbowl this year, Jerry Jones will fire him and he will try and sign Harbaugh.
Shack, now that is season is over I''ll say my peace. I like you have been a Raider fan since the days of the Mad Bomber. What I've observed since 2002 is the loss of the Raider mystic. In their hey day opposing feared playing in Oakland and LA. Those teams imposed their will on the opposition. The Raiders of the past would dominate when they played prime time. They were the kings of Monday night football. Come the playoffs it would be a dog fight and they exhibited the poise to come from behind and win or blowout the other team. The team over the last 20 year's has not been able to resurrect the element of pride and poise which personified the Raider mystic. Chucky in his first stint got close but it was not sustained. In my humble opinion what I see in AP is a man who is the personification of what a Raider is. He's a leader of men he's capable of bring out the best in the players. Furthermore, he can relate to today's athlete. In my estimation it's a foregone conclusion that AP and Champ can and will right the ship. If Mark goes with another coach Mark best be prepared for mutating on board. The star players will quite on the new regime and it will require a complete overhaul with no guarantees. If the Raiders continue to operate in mediocracy it would be best for Mark to sell the organization before he completely destroys the Raider Mystic. FYI, Sports Illustrated online has an article that the NY Giants are interested in AP. Hopefully he's not the one that got away.
